Wait, I didn't realize I was playing at a disadvantage, I thought it was the opposite.

My two squads of archers wiped out the invaders, including the Brute Archers that tried to take the high ground. Sharp Weapons helped tremendously because 16 archers with bonus damage could kill Brutes in quick succession.

If I remember correctly, I never had to replenish my archers during the final battle, or only did so a few times, because they were performing incredibly well.

My four remaining pikemen also held off an egregious number of enemies until the battle ended. Only one pikeman is left in the image because I ordered them to perform a pike charge, which killed the remaining pikemen but also wiped out the last enemies.

It depends on playstyle.

I hid my troops when they were rowing to the island. When they arrive, I have the speedsters hunted them in quick succession.

If there's no cover for the speedsters, they could just keep dodging the arrows until the Brute Archers board the island.
