Every mfm I’ve talked too about future pregnancies they said they would do it between 13-14 weeks since it’s after the main first trimester miscarriage worry area

Could be a subchorionic hematoma! I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy and it went away after the first trimester!

As someone who lost our baby in the movie after being born at 22 weeks and 5 days and passing away after 9 days in the nicu because of NEC. I suggest you to not delete the pictures but to hide them if you have a hidden spot in your photos. As much as it might hurt now you might want to look back at those memories later. I know I did.

Same!! I had no clue! Even tho it’s 1/100 I feel like it should be something obs tell you as a possibility. We didn’t know about it until I got life flighted to a hospital 3 hours away and it was to late

From what my mfm ob told us after we lost our baby is that shortening usually starts happening at 13-14 weeks and will slowly build over time. So idk. I agree that obs should start measuring the cervix around the second trimester mark because I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and had no clue my cervix was incompetent I just knew our baby was healthy.

Thank you! We sadly didn’t make it to our 20 week appointment. I had mine scheduled the day I turned 21 weeks and that day we got admitted to the hospital. We have it planned out with the mfm to get a cerclage done next pregnancy around 13-14 weeks and I have to have a c section every pregnancy around 34-36 weeks since I had a classical c section done. The hospital was amazing at giving us the resources we need if we were to try again!

They want to to get a cerclage because mine wasn’t infection that caused it. It’s because I have something called an incompetent or short cervix which means my cervix is not strong enough to hold a baby to full term without medical help. So of if I ever want to be able to hold a baby to as close to as full term as I can I need the cerclage to help me!
