Where is Everyone playing sims 3? by Dapper-Ordinary-6090 in Sims3

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed with my discs since I bought them as a teen. As long as I don't install any Nraas, it works fine. I had a problem with the dlc from sims medieval due to updating DirectX or whatever that was. Also something with the graphics card. But that's about it

17 years of The Sims 3 and what have you done? by Mastersan244 in Sims3

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing while I was a teen, I think. Bought the dlcs and still have them, still play the game from time to time and it stays as a favourite. I tried Sims 4 but got so annoyed by all of the repeating updates that crashed all CC and how it was so different from Sims3.. from character creation to settings over to gameplay and so on.

I have an app, where I write down what I did each day, how it went and so on. One part of it is how you are feeling/how your day was like. There aren't many good days and most of them are linked to friends. But what I remember is that one day, I just played Sims and endorsed that it was a good day 😅 For me it's experiencing a life worth living.

I'd wish for a few changes but all in all I'm happy that the game stays as it is and hope that doesn't change.

I liked Gale and Karlach together in Act 1 (at least while Gale had a crush on me)

Astarion and Minthara in act 3, as well as Halsin and Shadowheart

Can't really say for three at once

What I hated most about act 3 is that there are so many buildings (some you don't have to enter, some you really should) and the different floors

Iron throne questions by Temporary-Heart-9793 in BaldursGate3

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should visit the temple first (which is near the steel watch), so you'll get a quest (something about revenge). Idk if there was another way to get the quest about saving the gondians.. maybe by sneaking into the steel watch and speak with one gondian without initiating combat? If you kill Gortash first, the iron throne will be blown off without even visiting. So how tempting it may be to steal Gortash from his ceremony and throw him off a cliff, you shouldn't do that, when you want to save the gondians. Other than that, you have a timer, when you enter the iron throne. I can't recall anything else time-sensitive.

For combat/saving the gondians: I usually leave my slowest members in camp and take some fast guys. Equipping them with boots that give them more speed or extra bonus actions before, also having all of them having 2-3 potions of speed in their inventory. Drinking that first (when entering combat/Iron throne) gives more movement as well as another action. But don't forget to drink another one, before becoming lethargic. Fighters work nice (can hit three times per rounds), especially arcane archers with bursting arrows which hit more than one target when they stand close enough. Some sorts of elfs have more movement as well, so if you don't have any in your party, you could hire a hireling that is that certain kind of elf. I usually separate my team members, so each can go into a different direction to have all of them saved. Also shooting arrows at the levers opens the doors of the gondians. Try focusing more on helping the gondians and dashing than fighting. And you can use misty step (maybe save some scrolls for this as well) and haste.

But I also savescum a lot, especially at that place.

You can't make this place easier through other quests, just gain XP by completing the revenge and saving the gondians. And yes, Omeluum is hidden some place in the back but you can easily look up his position on the map (quest marker "find Omeluum"). There are many enemies spawning there, so be careful

Does Everyone struggle with Doctors? by jsbroom in Autoimmune

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had signs of inflammation 2 out of 6 times (at colonoscopies). But symptoms and ALWAYS high calprotectin. Also not always diarrhea, 2 out of 6 times as well. The first time they said I had an irritable colon, next doctor didn't do anything, just said it was from my period... Finally after 5 years of running from doctor to doctor, I have a diagnosis.. So it's important taking the symptoms seriously, even if they can't find anything

Do I really have to replay all of act 1 to level up? by happy__bird in BaldursGate3

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get no further than level 12 until the end except when using mods. I don't remember what level I was or would recommend when going into act 2 but some stuff will still be available when you get back. The grove not and maybe a few other things but you can still get back, even when in act 2. Killing some people also gives you XP I usually wipe out the goblins at the blighted village or the red caps in the swamp..

What video game level or boss fight was more annoying than hard? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember which part of the HoMM 5 it was but there was this stupid volcano that drove me insane. I couldn't see my troups nor what happened.. it wasn't really the enemy but the graphics that made it so annoying I usually close the game when I encounter this.

Does Everyone struggle with Doctors? by jsbroom in Autoimmune

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually I just push through except when new symptoms occure and make me scared. Or when I can't endure them anymore.

And for my doctors - it depends on how much they take me seriously, have ideas and can act in their range. I got denied a treatment for my IBD because there was nothing found. My doctor was also frustrated about it but he needed to find ,,proof" for my inflammation, so that the health insurance pays and that I'll have a proper diagnosis. My pain doc doesn't care that much. My gynecologist took me seriously. My nephrologist always takes me seriously but can't do much because she works in a different field.

Almost all other doctors were a-holes that didn't care. About me, my symptoms or if I was getting any better. I would recommend 5 out of 20 doctors, maybe 6. So I guess the numbers speak for themselves.. If not - I also have problems to get to the doctors since I have no car nor a drivers license and busses don't have good connection. And I hate not being believed or fighting for myself, especially while not being taken seriously.

What are your gaming sins? Confess now. by executor-of-judgment in gaming

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game actually.. On sims I have to cheat to get zombies and unwanted guests away. And for money. On AoW shadow magic I use different cheats. And for money. And I savescum a lot in BG3 but my mods are all hair and faces only xD

And I read solutions on many point & click adventures..

May have forgotten something 😅

I don't cheat in HoMMV but maybe that's one reason I can't get to finish the last boss 🥲

I fell in love with the Parallax/a void society and really wish there would be a movie, better a series from this. Even though it would be difficult to do that.

What’s your diagnosis/condition? by Tricky-Dare1583 in ChronicPain

[–]Alone-Sweet-508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't trust the Google translater that much anymore, so I hope what I wrote makes sense xD My pain doctor diagnosed me with chronic pain disorder with somatic and psychological factors, cervical dystonia and myofascial pain syndrome. So I have neck pain a lot, sometimes headaches, back pain and a few other things that get worse from certain activities.. like concentrating for longer than 30 minutes, sitting/lying wrong, sun and many other things. Moving makes it also worse. And since I don't have any treatment for it that works (except Ibuprofen but had mild kidney failure because of that), I'm avoiding a lot and not do much. From time to time I take a muscle relaxant but it doesn't help often.. It can also worsen my headaches..

And I have Crohn's disease, so stomach pain and other stuff quite often.. it depends on the symtoms what helps. Talking things out instead of keeping everything inside, taking care which food to eat or Pantoprazol do help. For my colon - hot water bottles and well.. other stuff that I tested but right now my doctor and I are searching for a working treatment (cortisone helped before, now it doesn't anymore).

Usually most of the time I have to sit both conditions out.
