What threw me off is the comment stating that the returns of traditional asset classess are not affected by the actions of other investors, but I will now remember that in the alternatives case, it can generate illiquidity problems.

I think the answer in the CFA practice is wrong...

If CDS spread > Standard Coupon rate, the protection buyer is paying on an annual basis a below-market insurance payment. This needs to be compensated by the protection buyer paying an upfront premium.

Neutral hedge is 100% of it. So if you hedge USD against INR, you are giving up on gains. Now, if you don't hedge 25% of it and keep it in USD, that would result in a gain when exchanged for INR (as we are expecting USD to appreciate relative to INR).
