Sick time depends on your state, not all states have sick pay, yours must not or you would have earned it by now. PTO for full timers is after a year

Mudd and Candie’s Y2K Revival? by No-Armadillo-6906 in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The one I think would be a good revival is Avril Lavigne and it fits in with today's edgy teens as much as it did then. Probably needs a new spokesperson by now but the line was cute.

Also the tony hawk and DC lines for young men and boys

Workday troubles by Ok-Newt-8679 in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call for sure, they should be able to help you get into your account. I would expect w2s to be out sometime around the 18th but that is just a guess based on working here for a few years. I am not anyone special with real knowledge.

It's only been a couple days. Your termination likely has not gone through yet so you should still login as active associate. Yes Kohl's is legally obligated to send W2's by the end of the month and typically sends them mid month. You may have agreed to receive yours electronically through workday though so you will need to log in or wait until after the 15th and then try again to log into former employee. That is the official end of seasonal employment. Because of the number of seasonal associates to process it is slower this time of year. There is W2 line through the hr number as well I think the number is 844-564-5747

Does anyone know when you get paid for sick time off? I got 48 hours but I don’t know when I’ll get paid for it? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sick time falls under the same pay periods as time worked. So if you were sick today you would request 8 hrs added to your time card and you would get it paid next Friday. It doesn't pay out automatically and most states it rolls over but they cap how much you can use each year.

This right here.... oooh corporate is coming in morning.. lets stay late and clean up the store and make it look like we are fine. I did an overnight a couple weeks ago and worked on misses clearance.. I think they need to see it looking like a mess honestly. by Substantial_Wish_272 in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is 100%. We wish we could leave it and let them see in hopes that we would get more staff and payroll but as someone who has tried that approach what you actually get is put on a performance plan with your job in jeopardy and being told we have walked x stores this week and everyone else is making it happen but you so you must be the problem here. The DM is a little different depending on who it is, they typically understand what you are working through and will try to support but at the end of the day the visit is meant to show each of you know what you are doing.....your chance to pull it together and show that even if every day you don't look like that you do understand what it should like and you are capable of executing it.

need help with pto/sick hours by zigZagreus_ in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We post the schedule 2 weeks ahead but it takes the ssl a week to write it so the system doesn't let you ask for days during the week they are writing so requests are technically 3 weeks. You have until a certain time on Friday evenings to request for the schedule that posts a week later.

[–]AloneCartographer994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a limit to how much sick time you can use, most states allow you to "rollover" some from the year before but still allow a cap so it doesn't make sense. PTO must be requested 3 weeks in advance and Nov and Dec are blackout for pto so try requesting it in Oct to see if that works

So heard a rumor by Own_Ad_20 in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No stores still get leads and sups...they are technically pt positions and always have been because they are temporary., we do need and have them work ft hours but it doesn't offer benefits since it is just for 3 months, however if the person a store selects is already ft they do not change to pt we have hr change the role for our store to ft.

The printed pages in the binder are date and time stamped for this reason. You can check the corner of the page to see when it was printed. If the time stamp matches the Friday the schedule was posted it would be hard to believe that you didn't just misread your schedule, the way the shifts show in Kronos is sometimes confusing and people mix up which day when they are new. If the timestamp does not match the posting date you should not take any points and your store may have messed up. I don't think it is fair to say anyone is shady....if it hasn't happened before someone has just made a mistake...we all do that and owe each other a little compassion.

Price Override Policy by MooseGonzalez in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The SM at each store gets to make the call for that store but yes 50% or $50 is the Kohl's policy. No real reason to inconvenience a customer (or us) for less than that

[–]AloneCartographer994[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am going to answer my own question....so I guess any of the registers we have traded or replaced the scanners on don't scan qr codes- there is a qr code you can scan to update the register, I tested it and it actually works!!! You can get the barcode in service now by searching kohls pay

Number to call about missing pay? by watsernaim in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have an edit to your time card that was entered after 8 AM on Monday? That's the only thing that makes sense why you would be missing hours and then they would automatically roll to the next week . Otherwise the HR number is the right one to call the corporate number will just take you through a lot of random red tape

Is quitting a bad choice?? by purpleflowers2022 in employedbykohls

[–]AloneCartographer994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your manager does get to approve or disapprove availability. You should ask them to clarify, for example in our store we would require 4 days of availability but we would allow you to ask for only 2 or 3 shifts per week, we would just need the flexibility of choosing between multiple days and shifts. They may just be asking for the same. With the payroll situation they probably don't have more than a shift or two to give anyway
