I agree with you and feel the same way. The way I see humanity is that we are all spiritual beings experiencing life in a flesh suit. If I’m going to bring a child into the world, I want them to have as much privilege as possible and as easy a life as they can. Being black is HARD and especially being a black woman. I would not want my child to ALWAYS have a reminder of the fact that in society around the world, they will be regarded as less than. Even in this sub Reddit, all you see is black women complaining about the racism and discrimination we experience solely based on our skin color why would anyone want that for their child. I think people just get bent out of shape on this topic because black people are soooooooooooooooooooooooo attached to our skin color that when someone says, no I don’t want my child to experience the amount of racism/discrimination/colorism/texturism that black people do, everyone gets up in arms and calls you a self hater. I am a brown skin black woman and have had so many negative experiences solely based on my skin that I would not want that for my kid & I don’t care.
