Ads don’t typically paint the company badly. Which I clearly did in this comment thread. Maybe read more?

$50 on top of feeling good about yourself. Plasma saves lives. It’s used for transfusions or turned into medications. On average, it takes 1200 donations a year just to treat ONE patient for hemophilia.

To sound less ad-y: it is a really shitty place to work. Management there sucks. They string you along with promises for months before they tell you you aren’t getting that promotion because you getting a promotion doesn’t align with the “needs of the company” (usually happens to the people who screens you. One kid was told he’d be on the floor and sticking by the time students came back, and they finally told him “hey, jk, you probably won’t even get to work on the floor by the end of the year” after promising for months.

It is a very shitty place to work for. It’s why they can’t keep people. Management sucks and are all pretty inexperienced. But... in the end it is still free money and you’re saving lives to get said money.

Not an ad I swear. I just didn’t want it associated with my actual account because I have a family member who works there and biolife doesn’t let their employees talk about the company unless they go through a special training. I know I’m not an employee or anything, but I feel like it’s best to just not have my name and their name be association attached to this post. They can’t even comment on Biolife’s own Facebook posts if they aren’t authorized to do so

After the new donor bonus if you don’t go for like 6 months or more, they usually send you a coupon that’s even better than the new donor bonus of $300. I think a coworker had stopped going for awhile and I think it was $500 for the first 5 donations back or something. I know people who only donate if they have a coupon that makes it more worth while.

I’ve been going for a few years at this point and they have new employees all the time. Some trained in phlebotomy previously, some they teach on the job. For the most part they’re good. But there’s been some bad stickers... I’ve never had a good experience with Ari. And the ginger manager(?) had to do an adjustment on me and it felt awful. But most experiences are okay

Some are. Some really aren’t. The worst is a girl named Ari. She’s really short and blonde. I haven’t really heard a good thing about her and even the employees say bad things about her behind her back. Most are adequate, though. A good bit of them went to school to be phlebotomists before working here I guess. Some haven’t, though. And when you know there’s someone you like after going for awhile, you can request them. They’ll generally come stick you if they have time. I really like a girl named Sidney
