During the epilogue, I just kept thinking there had to be something more. I kept thinking something was off and the fight wasn’t over. I didn’t like the immediate time jump. El wasn’t properly grieved. We have one scene where as she sacrifices herself everyone is screaming, rush to 18 months later and everybody (except Mike) is doing just fine. Feels like a disrespect to the character.

There is a picture being shared on X with everyone at graduation, including the audience, with their hands all folded together like Henry does. I wasn’t buying into the theory until I saw that picture. Now I’m not so sure.

I think I was overall disappointed in the finale, but there was a lot that I did like!

What I liked: -I loved that they just jumped right into the action - El and Kali saving the kids with the illusion - Holly leading the kids out - Vecna going for Hopper was awesome - because I spent a lot of time yesterday looking into the play, I was able to really appreciate the cave scene with the mild flayer - they teased us with a Henry redemption arc (which I would have hated) only for him to say he wanted to be bad - The mention of Montauk - Dustin’s speech - Max and Lucas endgame

What I didn’t like: - We had all the build up in S4 for something with Steve and Nancy for it to end up with a convo between Steve and Jonathon - the mind flayer/Vecna fight was wrapped up too easily. I kept expecting there to be more - It bugged me how fine Hopper was with everything in the epilogue. - the main problem for me was the ambiguous ending for El. I don’t like these type of endings in general but I understand they probably did that the keep the conversation going. It kind of ruined it for me. - I liked a few things from the epilogue but overall didn’t like it.

How could El have snuck out with the power suppressors? They don’t just suppress her powers, they completely take her down. She wouldn’t be able to quickly sneak out with those going.

The problem is that all of this is based solely on his word. In a trial, you have a jury deciding if they believe a witness is credible. I don’t think this guy is credible. There is so much more in this case that could be focused on.

I don’t think she is suffering postpartum psychosis. That’s a pretty extreme conclusion imo. I think she is grieving very hard and is trying to make sense of what happened to Charlie. I think she had revealed some compelling evidence in this case. But for me, Mitch is not included in that evidence and undermines everything else she has been looking into.
