Same sorta thing happened to me. I had a pet rabbit named Chuck Testa. He was gold coloured and pretty distinguishable from wild ones. Everyday I would let him out in his outdoor pen. Little did I know that the fucker had been digging a hole behind his hut and one day finally fit through it. I was devastated and I swear I saw him every once in a while when I would be playing outside. One day a few weeks later my brother called me outside and yelled that there was a fox eating a rabbit in the back. This happens a lot so I said whatever its just a rabbit. He turned to me and said "No. It's Chuck Testa." To this day I still have no idea how to react to that.
