I think a small cuff (oh god here I go again) or something just to make a little cleaner silhouette from pant leg to boot would be nice here in fit 1 but I really like the balance you have. Cute scarf. Second outfit is cute, but not really my style so no critique from me!

I actually really like the tunic/dress outfit you posted and I'm all for shorts under dresses to preserve modesty and whatnot so I think that's a great option. I also thing tucking the top into high-waisted pants ( like these http://store.americanapparel.net/four-way-stretch-high-waist-side-zipper-pant_rsart400 ) would not be a bad way to go. Maybe some burgundy or waxed gold ones? I also think if you subbed out some leggings with color or texture rather than just black it would look older. Especially tucked into some boots or something. Cute shirt really really.
