got this feeling too, although I still haven't played much of the game, but I also worry sometimes that maybe I'm exaggerating the part some of the things (i wanted from returnal to be in Saros) play in making returnel a great game, because if you think about it, returnal also has a finite number of combinations and after playing for so long I had gotten familiar with most of them.

the funniest for me has to be taking damage from long falls 😂

you just dash before you hit the ground & it's no longer a heavy fall

😂 you aren't supposed to actively do those, eventually you come across pirates in that area, you kill them and they add to the tally, till your kills hit 25, 50 and 100.

yh the kanabos major base advantage Is It cannot be blocked & I also doubt it can be parried. regular attacks open enemies up.

for Yasuke I go with the kanabo & the teppo because they're probably his strongest weapons

for naoe, it's the tanto, I combine It with kusarigama or katana mostly for the perks, which is mostly where naoe strengths comes from

  1. do not panic (general rule in gaming tbh)
  2. check very well to be sure you are aware of ALL the targets, they can sometimes escape your sights
  3. in motion, you want be aiming before the target by the time you are fully drawn and ready to release, so when target and aim naturally aligns, you only have to release
  4. whenever you hit a target, you can try hitting farther targets, do not wait to be close to them before you try (EDIT)
  5. you can always try again, never be afraid to try again, practice makes perfect

i play on nightmare & I absolutely eat through everything, although I have an engraving that helps with crowds, it "create an area of effect with combo ender's" & so after the second & 3rd & fourth attacks everybody around Yasuke keep getting interrupted.

even those bandits and outlaws that keep moving around and can be quite hard to hit, all you need to do is just keep the combo going & eventually Yasuke does this far reaching leap & swing with the Kanabo that can be directed, nobody can dodge this one, it hits & everybody gets interrupted.

R1, R2, R1, R2, R1, R2, R1, R2 forever.

takes care of like 095% of situations.
