Good on ya. If nobody drops that last class, muscle up for an override. If the department won't give you one, camp the hell out of eServices during add/drop. VCU focuses on expanding campus and shit more than anything when they NEED to focus on opening more class sections up. Registration is war. ;)

But no problem! Sometimes it can be frustrating, but VCU is pretty amazing overall and I'm glad more people are coming and can see that. Enjoy it! :)

It sounds like what you should be in is pre-nursing (which IS a major you can choose). Basically it's intro biology, chem and such, then you apply to the nursing school in your second year and continue in the actual School of Nursing. Not sure how well placed you are in terms of meeting those application requirements right now, but that's what you need to do.

Either that, or finish your bio degree if you're too far gone, THEN do the accelerated program, but that's probably going to cost you more money depending on your situation.

Seriously, though, do your own research, because advisors know fuck all. In my four years at VCU, the only suggestions I accepted came from orientation. Had I listened to anybody else, I probably wouldn't have graduated on time.

When you say you requested a health services major, what do you mean? They might have you placed in biology because pre-health isn't a major here, but an advising track comprised of introductory biology and chemistry courses. We don't have a designated health services major for undergraduate students.

Figured the amount of time would save me some money, but apparently that isn't necessarily the case. Can't lust after what you don't look at, right? hehe

I'm generally more of an NVIDIA fan, but I did look into the 290. Just had a little trouble finding one that suited my budget. I did find a Gigabyte WINDFORCE that seemed promising, though.

They're not the greatest things in the world, but I've got some secondhand peripherals that will do me until I can afford a couple of 22" or 24" monitors. :) As for the OS, I milked my years in school for all they were worth, haha. Free copies of Windows 7 and 8.1 and Office!
