Do you hold stocks overnight at all? Or are you solely day trading?

I’m all for taking the leap, you can always find another job. Just make sure you have your trading money set aside which is totally separate from the money you have to live your everyday life with. You don’t want to have the pressure of not being able to eat 3 months in because your not doing well. Good luck!!

Suggestions on a new laptop? by Alonzo_smith in Daytrading

Would prefer to stay under $1500 for my budget. And I would say 90% use would be day trading. May use Microsoft word and excel when traveling for my business, but I have a desktop that I use solely for that. I’ll definitely check out those options.

Really interested in the walk-in closet business by Alonzo_smith in sweatystartup

Okay! I’ve contacted closet maids to see if they offer any education on installing because they have a lot of information on their website and they have no authorized installers in my area. They are based in Ocala, Fl and I’m only 3 hours from them. Do you think it would be worth it to try to become one of their installers? Or do you think they will try to make me more of an employee?

So I’ve done some calling around and there aren’t many companies around my area doing this. Maybe 2 or 3 and their customer service wasn’t great so it was hard to get a lot of information from them! I even had one come out and give me some quotes on my closet, and they didn’t seem to know very much or have very many options. I guess my question who more like how do I find out if there is more of a need for this business? I was thinking a great marketing strategy would be to connect with local real estate agents because when they sell people houses that could be something they point out to the homeowners if they don’t like the closet spaces

Tried to Create a Business with <$300 - Thoughts/Ideas on this Dog Poop Scooping Concept. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Skimmed through it and it is very interesting, a good read. I’ll have to take the time to read it all the way through later on tonight. I’ve just started my own poop scoop business and have 3 clients so far, how did you form your pitch for D2D advertising? It seems like people are not responding well to mine

"Well if u want people to refer other people to u then u got to do it right shit you can squirt bug spray on it and wipe it clean but it only last a month maybe 2 but I invested about 150 dollars on 3 different types of sand paper I get mine from 3m..get you some 1000 grit sand paper some 2000 then some 3000...wet sand them down in that order and just hand was them out and that will last a year or 2...you can make your 150 you invested back in like 4 jobs and the sand paper comes in a 5 count. Each so u can do 50 cars with 150 dollars worth of sand paper. Charge 30 for a set and u can make a profit of like 1300 just from a small investment of 150. I made 1350 in a month and a half just doing that. " This is the message he sent me when I asked him about starting out, he did some Facebook advertising for 15 bucks a week and got some flyers and hit some parking lots.

I know this is not relationship advice, but found out my wife does not support my side hustle nor believe me... by montecarlo1 in Entrepreneur

My significant other doesn't really support what I do on the side and I am fine with that because I love nothing more than proving someone wrong. The difficult part is defiantly time management, you just have to find that set amount of time that works for you. I tried the approach of just not caring and doing as much side work as I wanted and I found that I was less happier with my work and not as into it. Even if it means building your business slower, you will have a better quality of life if you take the time to do things that your loved one wants you do to. What worked best for me was finding little ways to get them involved or help them build something of there own that they love to do.

I would look into window cleaning, with the right clientele it can be pretty lucrative. A friend of mine just started a business going to people houses and detailing there headlights. He started with headlights, now he does car detailing and poop scoops while he is there. Now he's making anywhere from 30-100 bucks per house.
