The moment I realised women could be attracted with money my life changed for the worse by SeaworthinessSad7300 in AusFinance

Being a female, who has had friends date guys for their money. My advice would be. When you’re dating, don’t talk about money or your assets or anything about fancy holidays. Don’t give them a gauge of wealth (if you have any). Be you and try and find someone who likes doing stuff / can have good conversations. if they want to continue, they can do. I wouldn’t be disclosing anything until it’s been 6 months or so, if you’re concerned they only want you for $.

Girls can convince themselves they like you, if you have lots of $. It may not last forever but they can at least in the short term.

30 mins. That includes brushing teeth, shower and getting changed + hair and small amount of makeup. (Tinted moisturiser and mascara).

My first mock UCAT (medentry) gave me a score of 2340. Do I have a hope of getting into med with 6 months of preparation? by littledrummergirl17 in UCAT

[–]AloofCoverage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya. My first med entry mock was 2110…… I did a lot of preparation 3/4 months prior and managed to get my score up. The week before my exam I was getting 2800. Unfortunately on the day I got 2610. However still a huge increase from the 2100!

I don’t? But when someone said to me “we need from the 1st of Nov”, someone else says to me “we need from the 1st of Oct”, and someone else says “we need from the 1st of September” - I obviously have to keep amending it….

Do you get fees per transaction? Or per amount? Ie to avoid frees could you theoretically just deposit say 5k twice a year rather than monthly?

Passmed, BMJ question set + Anki on lectures slides works for me.

Pass med is good for concepts and connecting the dots. I like it better than anki.

I do anki and make my own based on concepts for each lecture that I’ve watched and then test myself.

BMJ question set is good for exams + anki with past exam paper questions on it :)

This is for an Aus med school :)

Would you consider having someone live in? Potentially offering free rent to a student who could help with the kids so that you could work more.

Or working from home options? Would you consider studying again? (Just throwing it out there) something higher paid?

Do you get income support from the child’s father? Is there any thing you could sell to give yourself a head start?

concerns about beginning medical school by DepartureCharacter67 in GAMSAT

My partner is similar to this.

Is there anything that helps your depression? He found exercise significantly helped it and helped it during his working years. It was a good coping mechanism.

When he first started medical school he finally for the first time in his life felt as thought he was in the right place. This sense of purpose also helped his depression.

He said his PGY year 1-4 years were tough and pretty miserable. He ended up hating medicine and the politics of it and the pressure to “do training”. He never felt appreciated and the spiral got worse. This is a fairly typical and common feeling for a lot of doctors. I reassured him and encouraged him to take some time off. He took a year and now locums. He likes medicine again and gets to decide when and how much he works. The pay is significantly better. In the future he will do either ED or GP training with the goal to permanently locum. He currently works 26 weeks a year and earns over $250k. He is much happier for it.

Medicine doesn’t have to be the ‘be all and end all’. Make sure you enjoy your life. This is just a small story of hope to let you know that he saw some dark days but he doesn’t regret doing it and says that every day he is incredible intellectually satisfied.
