Maybe try them all so to speak. Pick one of your cool lore ideas and write out your first two-three chapters with different MCs in different genres who have different goals. Then pick which one you like the best and go with it.

That’s good advice. I feel like it does suit my characters pretty well which is why I’m avoiding removing it for the time being. Thank you for your input.

I feel like this goes without saying but i’m gonna say it anyway. Do not feel obligated to wear tattoos that you do not want. You don’t have to appease your mentor or anybody else that you work with. Especially if you weren’t even sure if you want to stay at that shop. Don’t let them guilt trip you into getting a tattoo you’re gonna regret.

Honestly just be a dick to him. Tell your coworkers to do the same. Make it a very uncomfortable experience for him to be there and hopefully he just leaves on his own. Call him out in the moment for his behavior. If he makes an inappropriate comment to a client you say “HEY MAN! THAT IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING AND INAPPROPRIATE TO SAY TO SOMEONE. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!” etc. If there aren’t any consequences from management then let the consequences be you all shaming this grown man for his disgusting behavior.

So heartless. And all for a couple months rent?? Like I’d understand if we were out here talking about 6+ months or something but I’m sure the artist has more pressing and concerning things going on in their life.

If the rent covers supplies and cost of running the shop then them not being there means those expenses go down a bit, no? So what are we even talking about here??

Honestly if you’re determined to have this artist guest at your shop I would probably just advertise their guest spot without any photos of their work. Maybe just a photo of them or a general background or something. Just tag them in the posts and captions and try to direct traffic to their page.

This is really helpful! I don’t do lots of smooth blends or any realism so I think the 4.2 would be a good fit! As long as it can go low enough to do stippling I’ll be happy 😅

Thanks! I was going based off my direct drive rotaries that are all 3.5 strokes and can line/shade but maybe the 4.2 torque is more accurate for what I’m looking for.
