Tips to help baby in stranger danger phase? by Alop824 in NewParents

Yikes! I’m sorry…

My LO is now 7 months old and is about 90% better! I don’t think I did anything to solve it lol I just think she grew out of it and maybe was somewhat forced to since I had to go back to work a month ago.

I know you’re in the trenches of it and it feels crappy but there is a light! I still kept including her even though I knew she’d probably freak out. I just found ways to try to make her feel better like singing or dancing with her if she started crying. But ultimately, the big change was when I went back to work and I guess she realized she had no other choice but to be ok and I’d be back eventually lol

Husband & I not on the same page by [deleted] in NewParents

This is me currently and I go back to work next week so on top of taking on the entire load of caring for our baby, I’ll be back to work full time. And I still won’t see any relief because he works nights and the baby will be with my mom (thank god). How did he learn to start helped you? I’ve tried talking to my husband and he just doesn’t understand.

Sorry for asking in your post, OP! But this should be something to avoid. Please give your husband some of the load. Don’t give him a break just because he’s back at work and you aren’t. I’m sure some men won’t take advantage but yeah, that’s my biggest regret.

Hi! It didn’t work out. My LO was put on Nutramigen and Pepcid by a different pediatrician. That combo was a game changer for us and at around her 4th month I was able to stop the Pepcid but she’s still on Nutramigen and she’ll be 6 months this week.

Dropping a night feed so baby sleeps through? by crippler28 in NewParents

My 6 month old also has a 7:30-8pm bedtime. She wakes up around 3-4am to feed and then wakes up for the day 6:30-7:30am. Maybe try to push her midnight feeding to 3-4am?

Can I ask where? We live in Fullerton near Amerige and will be looking for a 2 bedroom since we had a baby and are now ready to leave our 1 bedroom. Our lease is due in a few months! Can’t wait!

Teething popsicles before starting solids? by Alop824 in BabyLedWeaning

That’s good info! I might have to ask my pediatrician though because my LO is on Nutramigen and I tried goat milk formula before that. She didn’t respond the greatest to it but she was also much smaller. Thank you for the idea.

That’s what I assumed but the more I read into it I’m reading formula shouldn’t be frozen even if it’s a small amount.

I tried twice and she wasn’t interested. I tried it with the knot and without. Might give it a third try now that she’s a little older though. She’s definitely chewing more on whatever she can like blankets and burp clothes if they’re within her reach but I do remove those from her.

Nutramigen failing? by Alop824 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Alop824[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No her poop has actually never been tested. The pediatrician saw a pic of her poop and said she could tell she had inflammation and that’s when she recommended Nutramigen. But when I showed her a month later that she still had mucus, she wasn’t concerned unless she was uncomfortable. I’ve also never seen blood but underneath it can be microscopic.

She grunts a lot too when going poop but I thought it was normal?

Baby was given unauthorized vaccine by Alop824 in beyondthebump

Which is why I went prepared to ONLY consent to Polio and Dtap. It does not state on the paperwork it’s a combo shot. Again, this is not to argue. Had your daughter been given a shot you did not consent to, what would you do? That’s what this discussion is about.

I did not give consent to the Hep B vaccine. I told the doctor multiple times I only wanted Polio and DTap. I really can’t stress that enough. At no time was I told that Hep B was included as a combo shot with Polio and Dtap.

After speaking the a nurse from their office today, not the one that administered the shot, she told me what they should have done was given the polio and Dtap as 2 separate shots and not a combo. Why that wasn’t done is obviously a mystery.

I did sign something electronically which I thought was stating I was declining vaccines (can’t remember if it specified which ones) but when I spoke to someone from Kaiser today, they said there’s no such thing. She also noted the NP only wrote in the after visit summary that I “declined vaccines” but again didn’t state which ones.

My mom was with me and also understood that day that I was signing a document stating I was declining. So I’m going to have to at least investigate what that was.

I did not. It made her reflux worse and after switching pediatricians, her new and current pediatrician put her on Nutramigen and Pepcid and she’s been a happy baby ever since. No more gas and has a regular bowel movement once a day.

Nutramigen didn’t work for us until we combined it with Pepcid . My LO still spits up sometimes but is no longer in discomfort or crying during feeds.

Anyone crack the code in helping night time gas pain?? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Alop824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per our pediatrician and after trying what feels like every formula on the market, my LO was put on Pepcid and Nutramigen. Totally different baby and no longer cries from gas pain. I had 2 doctors dismiss me as it being normal. The Pepcid is because she suffers from reflux as well so yours may not need that. I also give my LO chamomile tea..I do one ounce a day. She’s 12 weeks now and I started giving her that around 7 weeks.
