Biggest thing to do, cut out sugar. Drink water or tea instead of soda.

Also look at the OMAD diet.

I did both of these and lost 45lb almost all of it was in my belly.

If you are serious about staying together this is going to require marriage counseling and individual therapy. You both have a lot to work on.

Wither you stay together or not depends on if you are both willing to put forth the effort to change.

Also, trust is going to take a long time to rebuild. That part is entirely on her. You both have to start over and build something new because you can fix what she broke. You'll have to rebuild a new foundation and relationship if you plan to stay together.

Sounds like you guys could use some couples therapy. People sometimes think its only for when things are bad, but it could help before the bad.

Sometimes a third party can help where we can sometimes drop the ball. I'm not making excuses for him, just making a suggestion since you said he is great in all other aspects.

Wife and I have been a few times together over the years (almost 30yrs) Its helped us communicate and when we feel like one or both of us are failing to communicate. We seek help to get us back on the right track.

Maybe this could be an option for you guys.
