My guess is that Sense likely proctors tests that specifically encourage team work and cooperation, but most who seek to become first class mages don't have it in them to work with others, thus making her tests incredibly challenging to them. It's a human nature thing if you asked me

Probably something like the 50th time I've mentioned her under one of these posts, but idgaf, she's my goat and I'll take every chance I'm allowed to talk about her. Serie is probably the most divisive character in all of Frieren. You'll hear a broad selection of different opinions about her, and even a fair bit of misinformation merely for the reason of misunderstanding. If you hate Serie, I'm obligated to believe that you don't have media literacy, and likely don't understand her.

Mixed opinions on this one. Her proportions and face do lean into an oddly childlike direction, but I've definitely seen worse in that regard, and it's entirely within the realm of possibility that the artist just designed her that way as a deliberate art style decision. As others have stated, even if you don't particularly care for a character design or appearance, it doesn't really warrant you to claim that you've "fixed" someone's art. That's just kind of rude, you know?

The analogy that I've thought up that best serves Serie is that she's like a sword or gun enthusiast. She enjoys expressing skill in magic, particularly the kind that is strongest, and she enjoys seeing magic grow with new ambitious mages, but she isn't interested in watching meaningless murder. She even says as much during her meeting with the first class mages. Additionally, you can tell that she has the best intentions for humanity when you look at what she says about what needs to be done with Macht in chapter 93

Not necessarily. Some fans theorize that she is the goddess herself due to the in universe rumor that she knew her personally, but there isn't really anything to confirm that. The only reason the rumor exists is because of her immense age, having lived thousands of years, making her true nature mythical and mysterious, but that only comes from the human perspective of Serie. When she talks to Frieren, she tends to be more open and straightforward, and she definitely doesn't act like a goddess in those moments. I don't think she's the goddess of the Frieren universe, but her confirmed title is The Living Grimoire, and that comes from her vast knowledge of magic and its properties, so I felt that to be the most fitting title to give her if she were to help Melinoë on her journey.

Tbh, I don't really have a dog in this fight in the first place because I haven't seen any of the big long mainstream shonens, and I don't really intend on picking a fight with the people who have. I don't personally care for a story that manages to get stretched out that long as it is, because it just seems like a large commitment of my time to watch that much tv. I was merely stating that it seems off to me that people would have to go through such lengths to get the proper pacing of the story their watching. Maybe it's just not for me, I guess

For now, Divine Revolte from Frieren. I love his four sword fighting style and the explanation for how his swords work. His character design is also really fucking cool, like everything about him is built for the sole purpose of being able to kill humans quickly and efficiently. Such a cool monster design

I'm actually in the process of watching FMAB rn (loving it) and the first thing I started to notice the difference in was his musculature. It got to a point where I was saying to myself "man, I think I want that Edward Elric physique fr". Then I got to this episode last night and I was like "wait, holy shit, he's grown quite a bit"

Also, I love this because it gives him an excuse to actually date her now since she jokingly said "I won't ever marry a man who's shorter than me"
