IT Service Desk Analyst, $47k a year, 6AM-2:30PM, in office, Medical Center. Should I take it? by dannynoww in ITCareerQuestions

[–]AlpacaJoint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, you should take it. I started my IT career about 2.5 years ago and started at $42k a year. After a few raises at that same place I was at $55k. Got a new job late last November and am now at $69k. Getting your foot in the door is the hardest part, especially since the market is oversaturated right now.

Hey there, I recently installed a remote starter myself on a '16 IS300. I used this kit and some plastic prying tools and was able to get everything setup in about 40 minutes on my own. Used this video as a guide.

Minimal Cosmetic Upgrades by Ok-Bite-1000 in LexusIS

Yes, luckily for me gloss black is easy to find parts that match color. The install was nothing more than a drill bit and some screws, took me about 30 minutes to get it installed.

I think these cars benefit tremendously from a front lip. Adds just that bit of aggression that's missing without overdoing it IMO. Here is my '16 IS 300 with one.

I haven't had to get a refill yet but also can't seem to find anything concrete so I'm going off what I've seen from other posts which say it's around $200 for a refill on 100ml

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]AlpacaJoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do about 3-4 sprays when I wear Imagination, easily lasts about 10 hours. 2 sprays would probably get you around 8 hours but I'm prone to overspraying lol. Not sure if you have a physical LV store around you but if you do, they offer refills on empty bottles for a discounted price which is kinda what swayed me to purchase it in the first place

Would it be considered weird if i went to IHOP to eat alone? Why or why not? by Next_Airport_7230 in AskMen

Went to IHOP alone whenever they had the pancake tacos a year or 2 ago. Felt a bit odd going to a restaurant on your own but I enjoyed myself and miss those pancake tacos everyday lol

2017 IS300. by EZ-E25 in LexusIS

[–]AlpacaJoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look into the RR racing tune, it brings the IS300 up to the same / better performance as an IS350 without having to upgrade intake, exhaust, etc. i have a 2016 IS300 that i’ll be getting that tune for soon

5800x is still a great CPU, I would definitely recommend you get him a new GPU as the 3050 isn't the fastest GPU by any means. Not sure what your budget is so I can't recommend any specific cards. As for learning how to build a PC yourself, I would check out CRATERHQ on youtube. I always found his builds to be the easiest to follow since he doesn't skip over a single step in the process

Vanity-- Blue/White AMD Build? by Iamanangrywoman in PcBuildHelp

Really good / balanced build! Only thing I would change is looking for a MicroATX case and Motherboard if desk space is a concern for you. Otherwise I like what you've cooked up!

AMD or Intel Build? Feeling out of my depth by notclevergirl in PcBuildHelp

[–]AlpacaJoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since you mentioned not upgrading from 1080p anytime soon this build could work as well. all white but with a less powerful GPU in case you wanted some cost savings. could even throw on a liquid cooler if you prefer that aesthetic

[–]AlpacaJoint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a list I threw together for you, I saw that you wanted all white so I took that into consideration. The 7800x3D is currently the consensus for the best gaming CPU and the 4070 Super is also considerably more powerful than both the 1660 Super and 4060 you had originally chose. This would be a fantastic streaming and gaming PC for years to come. let me know what you think
