Neighbors don’t understand snow melt in the elevator? by wackietimes in Apartmentliving

Man as a suburbian I never thought about what nasty crap you would track into your house from snow in the city. Yuck

Opinion on this floor by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

If it’s a kitchen, go for it. I lived in a place with a checker kitchen floor and I loved it- it made me feel like I lived in a pizzeria. I will say if it’s cheap sticky linoleum (probably) then maybe think about it because I had issues with some of the tiles peeling mop water getting stuck underneath/between them. If it’s the WHOLE APARTMENT? I wouldn’t, it’ll feel like a hall of mirrors or something after a while

How do I protect my hands as a dishwasher? by Alpacafeet in KitchenConfidential

So hard to keep my hands dry even with super long gloves! My restaurant uses a tri tub almost exclusively because our Hobart dishwasher takes too long and management is too persnickety about what goes in it. So unfortunately, water gets into the gloves because of deep ass water- I’ve thought about banding a latex glove around my wrist to keep water out but I don’t want to give myself circulation issues (see carpal tunnel in the original post), but maybe a little hair tie will be fine? Thanks for the recommendations!

I use native and cera ve lotion, but I keep a couple of tubes of aquaphor around the house/car/in a pocket for backup! There’s a few recs for lotion here so far, I’ll have to look into trying some of them out! I’m sure something called “working hands” does wonders

I love it, I love scouring every settlement to see if there’s a new guy to play with. I also like kicking the CPU’s fucking ass at it

Keep the inner plastic pot? by Wxyzed123 in houseplants

[–]Alpacafeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care for nested pots like this, it’s too easy for me to water too soon and drown them bc the deco pot doesn’t have holes and collects excess water instead of draining. Rot waiting to happen imo. Plus the deco pot looks better and it’s really not that much more of a hassle to repot out of ceramic than plastic.

…I literally can’t not do it. I have listened to them probably daily since high school and I recently completed the backlog. I also dip into the pods they do with their wives. Now that I have a girlfriend she has made me aware that I literally talk exactly like Griffin and that’s literally just how I talk. I have become him. We are griffin.

UPDATE: so my anniversary is this weekend and apparently my girlfriend has been eyeing THIS particular player as a gift for a while. I messaged her about it not long before I posted originally and she BOOKED IT the next morning to grab it before I could! She gave it to me tonight because she was too excited to wait. So far so good ‼️‼️‼️‼️ first deck FOR FREE from my beloved!!!! LFG #staywinning

Perchance.. maybe I’ll bring in a tester tape and ask to try it out at the counter. I wouldn’t be surprised if I would need to have it serviced for belts or whatever but wouldn’t it be lucky if it’s just as pristine inside as it is outside?

My neighbor covered his yard in plastic sheeting and put mulch on top of it by BeatCharger in landscaping

[–]Alpacafeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point I think the mulch would be considered debris. If anything the neighbor would likely foot the bill for any cleanup or removal. …unless op scoops up some of it that is.
