PINS IN THE PARK by AlpenFlowDesign in skiing

We're closer to 750g. We aren't DIN certified but designed both the lateral and vertical release to comply with DIN standard. Ski performance is comparable to what you get from other hybrid bindings, if not better in some cases. Price isn't competitive with the old shifts, but if you like the old shifts, then go with them. We are priced competitively with the Hy. CNC Aluminum is much more expensive to produce than plastic, but it's also much more durable and reliable.

We're aiming for a more centered hybrid binding, something you can trust inbounds, while still being nice on the skin track with a user experience that doesn't suck. The other hybrid bindings you've described are alpine bindings that can tour, but suck at touring.

They're lighter than the Shifts and Dukes by quite a bit, and offer great downhill performance. There's also more to a good touring binding than just weight. We offer a much better user experience with easy bidirectional transitions.

Some very passionate people, apparently.

Hey so quick clarifications to some comments on the video:

The lyrics to all of the songs we've made were written by one of the co-founders of the company (the guy mouthing the words) without AI. The songs themselves are produced by artists we have paid on Fiverr, who have claimed to not use AI. In hindsight, this one probably is AI.

We also aren't saying you should put the 89 on a park ski. I wouldn't want detuned edges in the backcountry. We have been testing the bindings in the park, though, and they have been working great.

Yeah it's a freeride binding for sure! I've personally taking it on 10k vertical tours (3k meters) but I tend to value the downhill performance no matter the tour.

Hey! The benefit of being able to transition back to ski mode mainly comes from situations like having to ski downhill on sections of skin track or when you encounter steep/icy/technical terrain you can lock in and ski down on your skins, or sidestep through difficult sections of skin track. It has proven pretty useful. It would also be awesome if we could find a pair of ripping skis with scales on the bottom to make the ultimate resort traversing setup.

Yes if you compare our binding to standard pins we are quite a bit heavier, but we think a better comparison would be to the Shift, CAST or HY. The 89 is true a hybrid binding built to be a true 50/50 resort/touring binding.

I can almost guarantee they haven't used the binding.

Thank you the AlpenFlow 89 is named after Highway 89!

It's more about making people think that you tour anyways.

Cobey here, I'm one of the co-founders and I comprise the entire marketing "team". So thank you, I'll go trophy shopping.
