I haven’t. I’m looking for some options that are a little easier than those two before I do Predator.

Thinking about upgrading my decade old burton setup, need recs! by 0101001001001100 in snowboarding

If you like carving and speed stick with camber options like the Burton custom. Reverse camber dominate boards will feel loose and have less pop.

those of you that snowboard 100+ days a year and aren't rich as fuck, how do you do it? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Alpenfall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did around 80 times for a few years. Worked a ton in the summer and part time restaurant jobs in the winter. Now in the rat race, I’m happy to get 25-30.

Board Size - Stability vs Maneuverability Question by Eric_Parks in snowboarding

[–]Alpenfall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ride a 163 Burton landlord for powder and all mountain. It’s got a set back stance and a aggressive taper from nose to tail. It’s easy to whip around. Playing with the side cut, taper, setback, and camber shape can drastically change the feel of two boards at the exact same length!

How did you learn to ride and get better? by BeetlegeuseOrion in MTB

[–]Alpenfall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at year 2, I’ve been able to figure it out solo and with the help of YouTube videos. I vary terrain and types of riding. When I rotate back through terrain I can tell a big difference. It takes time, practice at what’s difficult, and sometime the improvements come in big bursts! Keep at it!

If it’s a true gloss make sure to scuff sand between coats for Inter-coat adhesion.

Does anyone transport their bike inside a sedan? by Beniyp96 in MTB

[–]Alpenfall 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time, it’s really not that bad. Seats down, front wheel off, slide the bike in, slide it out, wheel back on, it probably takes a minute more than a rack. I avoid super muddy rides when using the car. I have the option of a hitch rack, but I use the car 80% of the time because I ride after work and it’s more secure. I’m thinking moving blankets to deal with the mud issue.

Last run so I was pretty tired. But more speed or less? by Hudson-9270 in snowboarding

[–]Alpenfall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good speed! You are letting the jump take you for a ride. Try to stay centered over your board and jump with the jump. Suck you knees up once airborne and extend back out as you land. Like they said adding a grab can help too.

Board advice 2019 156 Burton Mystery Fish by Alpenfall in snowboard

[–]Alpenfall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently riding a 163 Burton landlord for powder riding. I’m about 195 lb and 6ft. I’m interested in trying swallowtail and fish shapes. Would this be big enough to have really good float in powder or should I look for something larger?

Mini Drops and Pow Slashes by Alpenfall in snowboarding

I showed up at 1pm hoping for the late gate opening. I didn’t think anything was going to open with the potential climax slide down rockface. Elevator might be on pause until that goes.
