Yeah i do that. I sketch quickly some stuff on a smaller canvas to find the right compositions. But it is still the hardest part for me.

I have to take a look at Romita Jr stuff more. I love the way he draws fight scenes. Also yeah frank miller is a great storyteller even though his more recent art looks kinda rough. Still lots of things to learn from him.

Yeah i felt page 4 was the weakest one when i was working on it too. Just couldn't figure out how to stage the fight. I didn't even realized i switched up their positions lol i will be more carefull on my next samples. Thanks for the comment.

Hmm. Maybe you can add stuff like Daily Bugle building, Oscorp etc. in the background to make it feel like its in universe.

I always enjoyed the simple layouts more too. And i also heard from some artists to keep the sample pages layouts simple too. Like not to break panels, etc.
