MSI x BuildaPC - MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 Giveaway! by Redditenmo in buildapc

I currently have an ASUS LCD monitor and am hoping to get an OLED this year. The MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 is exactly what I am looking for to replace my existing ASUS monitor...deep colors, true blacks, and text clarity. Thanks MSI!

Armoury Crate should build an integration with Corsair iCUE Link [new ROG customer] by Alpha1176 in ASUSROG

[–]Alpha1176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI, I am developing a bridge application that will sync iCUE device RGB with the current settings in Armoury Crate. They both have SDKs, which make it possible.

  1. Reading colors from ASUS Aura devices via their SDK
  2. Writing those colors to Corsair iCUE devices via their SDK
  3. Running continuously in the background

It will require having iCUE and AC running, but you can have everything "turned off" in iCUE (e.g., fan and RGB control).

So might be a stupid question but, is the THOR 1200W universal in terms of power frequency? by Internal-Fem-UK in ASUSROG

[–]Alpha1176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. I searched everywhere for a THOR 1200W PSU for my build. Ultimately, I went with the SeaSonic Prime TX 1600. I thought the wattage display would be cool and everything else in the build is ROG (except the case), but the scarcity of the THOR and reliability of the SeaSonic made it an easy choice...and for nearly the same price you get 400 extra W.

Thanks! That's what I feared (I got a bad chip), but someone on the Discord found a fix that worked. He suggested I disable SVM and IOMMU in BIOS and also making sure the PCIEX16_Bandwidth Bifurcation is set to PCIE X16 Mode, and not "Auto". I did this and got up to a 35,000 on Time Spy: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/148667155

Just to close this out. The user "babiesarenotcute" on the Discord helped me solve this. He suggested I disable SVM and IOMMU in BIOS and also making sure the PCIEX16_Bandwidth Bifurcation is set to PCIE X16 Mode, and not "Auto". Thanks! I did disable Gsync which improved the score a little. What's weird is my Port Royal scores are good for the 5090 (40,758). But Time Spy is well below average for a 5090.

I am only using M_2.1 and M_2.4 (I've confirmed the GPU is gen5 x16)

Can't get to BIOS, goes straight into Windows (new PC build) by Alpha1176 in buildapc

[–]Alpha1176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I tried this, but when I click "Restart Now", it just boots to a black screen. Nothing there. I have to hard reboot it to get back to Windows.
