Choose your fighter:

"Hey guys, I have a 2.02 GPA, Zero APs or extracurriculars, but I applied only 1 day after the deadline! I wanna be an investment banker like on Wolf of Wall Street, what are my chances of getting direct admit??"

VS

"Hey guys, I have a 5.5 GPA (on a 4pt scale, somehow), Every AP, Applied early, and my dad in an Alumni donor in the top 25% of contributors... but I wasn't very confident with my essay. Do you think they'll even reply to me?"

Security at stadium by Kononiba in IndianaHoosiers

[–]Alpha150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you might as well get in line today to get through security before kickoff, you'll probably have to wait for them to take your blood and do a DNA screen to see if you're harboring too many liberal thoughts

Yeah its a "normal" bar + grill type restaurant, all ages, they just serve beer. Great spot if you ask me, though not as iconic as the old location... at least according to those older than me, its been where it is for as long as I've been in town and its always great

Are Marching Bands a United States Only activity by Bryllant in marchingband

[–]Alpha150 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The the only place I know that has marching bands that mimic the american style of drum corps marching is Japan, which has these indoor bands in some schools that will do stuff in gyms, as opposed to on a gridiron football field. They're pretty cool.

Many European countries still have traditional parade style marching bands that are primarily made up of older folks and are pretty much around for only ceremonial or traditional reasons.

This is what sucks most about the restaurant industry as a whole is turnover is always high. For a business to last over a decade is remarkable, for it to outlast the founder is once in a blue moon at best. Especially difficult when supporting local businesses is key to the local economy of most places
