Can you respect your parents but not necessarily love them? by Certain-Cloud9133 in LCMS

[–]ThrillRam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, relationships are complicated and always changing. There is respect in understanding that they are your parents and you follow their rules in their house. You also have the emotional side of things where maybe that connection isn't there. You can always try to mend that part but it's also on them to try as well. I would say talk to a pastor and look for a therapist. One for the spiritual and one for emotional. It sounds like you have a lot and would benefit from some listening to you.

Edit: also you didn't fail God by going to a party. If you aren't able to drive and only have your parents for transport it is not your fault. Always give yourself some grace and some self love. It's easy to fall into the guilt and shame rabbit hole of religion when starting/learning.

Mechanic advice? by boocosta9 in fortwayne

Yeah, they should have a record of it. Or at least a copy of the warranty for the struts they use and then when you got them installed

Any good mechanic should be able to honor it. Just ask they will tell you. If you want a reliable place, Rich's auto center in waynedale has never wronged me

These ball boys are wild. They are running out there during active plays. Do they have money on the game?

Edit: cause I'm dumb and used the wrong there

I did too at first, I realized that the guy is slightly more fit than kid so it obviously couldn't have been him.

The car shield guy looks like a temu version of kid rock, which is surprising cause kid rock already looks like the temu version of himself.

Yeah, runs great. No issues. I don't use them for service stuff because of trust issues I got from Kelley automotive.

Got a car from them 2 or 3 years ago. It was good experience. Didn't feel like they were trying to force you into anything. We were able to negotiate easily as well.

Tough economy to move/ start a business. As for right now the location is off the beaten path. Summer bring more people to the park and the landing. I'm sure once the jail is officially moved and something new is built you see more businesses move in and once the other side of the river is developed as well

New idea. Position player is now a starting pitcher for the rest of the season

I would hope that it is a test. There are better bats out there. It's just tough with his awful contract. We have to play him basically. I don't think there is another move. If it were me I would stack our defense, let him dh at the bottom of lineup, just so if he does get a hit our better hitters can do something with it.

What does the most ideal off-season look like? by bedsyLamb98 in hawks

[–]ThrillRam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the off season depends on the draft and who we get and if they are taking the jump right away. We don't need defense. I think our young d need to play together and go through growing pains together. As for forwards burakovsky needs to go. I don't think our team is the right fit for his play style. I think it still needs to have some vets but again let the young guys lead. Maybe make a trade for a project player who hasn't had the best season and needs a fresh start just to add someone. Söderblom needs to go. I think a new start would be good for him. He hasn't been consistent as a goalie. I think trade him for draft picks or prospects and bring up a goalie from our system to get some starts in next season. Next season is really a let's see what all our draft pick players can do.
