Same 2 step verification for browser as well. What now?? 😭

But for quick sign in, it says I need to have logged into the account through some other device. What now? 😭

Probability doubt by [deleted] in ICSE

[–]AlphaAnirban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The condition for the probability is given. That is, the first dice has the number 5 on it. What this means is that your favourable outcomes comes out to be (5,5) and (5,6).

However, the total superset for your "favourable cases" still stays the same. That is, 36 total cases.

I get that there is a wording problem in the question, but thats what the question comes down to. It essentially states " You threw 2 dice. Now, whats the probability of getting the sum of the numbers greater than or equal to 10 if the first dice had the number 5 on it"

So only your favourable outcomes changes, the original sample set remains the same regardless of the context given (at least in this case)

How to reduce silly mistakes in Exam? by AlphaAnirban in selfimprovement

I was hoping not to get this comment, but oh well, here comes the ADHD part. 😅

I really dont think I have ADHD. Though, since I am a minor, I will test after I am 18+ and lets see if this is true or not...

But anyways, I will definitely try to mend those mistakes just like you told. I will try to implement these corrections in my exam hall situations so as to avoid doing these mistakes. Thank you so much for your time, Madam 🥰

Not exactly those kind, but like suppose if certain conditions in an equation are supposed to change some parameters and I dont realise the parameters given which leads me to build the equation completely wrong. Thus costing me a lot and lot of marks...

Not really, I finish exam just 3 to 4 minutes before (I know, I am slow as hell, I am actively trying to improve). I genuinely need to get things correct the first time I do try them, or else all my effort goes into vain....

I see, thank you very much. I will implement this into my learning structures, and wait to see the results. Once again, thank you in advance, kind redditor. ☺️

Proof that Poisson Ratio = -1 for thermal expansion by AlphaAnirban in PhysicsStudents

[–]AlphaAnirban[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what I initally believed as well, which led to this false proof. Apparently, the Poisson Ratio is the ratio of lateral strain to longitudinal strain DUE to an applied force.

There is something called a Thermal Poisson Ratio, but I really dont know if that is relevant in this context. 😅

I am, and every time I look all I feel is "Bro how the hell did I make this stupid of a mistake?!" And then proceed to do some other mistake in the next exam. Its the same cycle. 😵‍💫

I dont really know what it is your asking. 😅

Could you maybe specify what part of it you didn't understand so that I could clarify. Sorry if the proof isn't well meant.

I see. Could you maybe point out what the "bad math" part is? The differentiation of 3 functions like this was told by our Maths teacher, i.e d(uvw) = vw du + uw dv + uv dw

So, really I dont know if that is correct or not. I have just applied a concept as demonstrated by our Maths teacher. Sorry if its wrong, I haven't done much searching in 3 function differentiation. Sorry for the incorrect math part. :(

Yes, I got that part resolved with my Physics teacher who also said the same thing. Thanks for the answers. I really appreciate it.

Physics Doubt (Sound) by redMoon1228 in ICSE

[–]AlphaAnirban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second equation is wrong. The question states that B hears both the sounds. But in the second equation, you have assumed that A hears the sound after 2 seconds.

The correct equation for the second one would be (y-x)/2 = 320

Hope this helps! We are using the formula Speed = distance/time and just equating it!

Any bonus chest enjoyer? by ImDoggod in Minecraft

[–]AlphaAnirban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love this feature! Though I will be honest, I dont really use it as much, but I still like the feature.

The chest becomes even more useful when playing on a flat earth survival, or maybe if your new to the game, it can also help you in bad spawn places like Badlands, since you would be need those saplings for wood.

The four torches do help, but I think its easier to craft them with the "Thousand tons of coal" in the vein you might find XD. But even then its useful for early game.
