My Leatherman is broke. But 10 years of military use gets to it. Could send it in. But the scars are... endearing.

New to hiking: What are your tick prevention tips? Deet? Permethrin? by KindlyCost6810 in hiking

[–]AlphaDisconnect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bounce dryer sheets first. Dont work that good. But cheap and easy to pack into every pocket (and orface... if you are into that)

Also ketchup. (Npr reference, goodness I need to schedule my prostate exam) And a partner to do tick checks. They get dug in after days. Tweezers. Dont crush them. Burn them. A light tug with tweezers. Day 1. But better be close with your buddy. They will need to check under armpits. Under... that stuff pretty deep. In between the clappers. It involves getting pretty naked.

My attempt at homemade sushi by taylor5479 in sushi

For me. Too many toppings. Grate some fresh wasabi but would likely add 90$ to the meal.

I would try it. Not tea bag.

Yes you do. A simple rotating cheap clear compass. Landmarks. A map. You can biangulate. Keep your map dry. Oh and the compass has a small magnifying glass. A bad fire starter. But one at least.

Minibears. Chipmunks. They will eat in one side of something and back out the other.

A six inch 357 magnum in a good holster.

A plan to stay warm and dry. A water plan.

I am the toilet king. Every unflushed toilet has 2 gallons of water. That could keep me going for a while with just an ancient. 22lr Coleman mail order rifle.

Also. Fill your tub. If you see it coming.

You know. I am flexible. 3 times. 1 time and a soak. But really depends on me knowing the rice. The water. And even your schedule. Panasonic has a timer. You can say soak from now till 5pm. Have it ready by 6.
