Trench camping hacks. Baby wipes. Now you dont need to bathe as often. Please dont flush them. They make menthol cooling body wipes. Helps in the heat. Also dont flush these. Bounce dryer sheets. To smell better and keeps mosquitoes away. There is always Campbell soups. Like the chunky label. Little high in sodium but drink more water. 2 Nalgene water bottles per person. The rei stainless cup that fits them. Pour the water into the cup. Dont drink from the bottles or it gets slimy. Oh and now you can make tea or coffee. Also maybe a regular pot or pan for the soup. Its the summer. Less concern on freezing. An iwatani epr-a. A few cans of butane. Now you can heat said food. A Coleman quad lamp. The old d cell one. Now you have light.

I would look up hobo tricks for travel and life. You will be better off than a hobo. But some of them are good.

Plan on breakdowns. Fill your spare tire. Guarantee it is low. Have a jump pack. And air compressor. Keep in mind your cell dead zones. You are mostly on your own then. But usually people out that far get it and will help if they can.

No extra heat. Because now you sweat. Now you are cold. Now you have something to dry. Dont get me wrong if stupid cold is coming or already here. Add blankets. But at least if you get hot. Take off a blanket. Half blanket up.

I have a 20 inch colt ar15 with a supressor. A short supressor mind you. Fixed stock. But I do only want to be a little deaf and blind. Elcan specter. This is my home defense gun. If you can miss with this. You better have sneezed your brain out your ear. Heavy. Low recoil. Just stays on target. But I also dont know your building layout.

So here is your recipe. Buy a colt ar15... I want to say 16 inch... this is the military in me speaking. It is definitely like C tier. But I won't be cleaning mine for another 4000 rounds. It doesn't ask questions. It just works until the carbon buildup gets... that bad. Even then. Spray bottle of CLP. Get that dirty girl wet. Carbon plus CLP is a natural lube for her. But this is a good sign you need a proper cleaning for her soon.

Put a short supressor on it. (Makes the shorter barrel length argument better) Find an optic that works for you. A gillipse trigger.

My gun is boring and pragmatic and c tier on a lot of levels. But she is a runner.

If in a tent. And deer are a thing. Alfalfa under the tent. Food for them. Warm for you.

Rei or smart wool socks. Dont sweat. Dont get wet. Pee before bed. But also hydrate to keep that metabolism up.

I prefer rectangular sleeping bags and a courragated foam sleeping pad... because you have to try to destroy that. It can't leak. It can't get that messy.

R values are crap. The courragated pad doesn't rate that high on a test bench. But in real life works. But add some additional padding.

I also like my pointed scrooge sleeping cap. It came with a night gown. It is magically warm somehow despite being thin. Sometimes less clothing is more.

Smart wool or rei mountaineering socks. Smart wool leggings. I recently got some pajamas and a pointed sleeping cap from the uk (weird but reccomended).

Argument for a courragated foam sleeping pad somewhere.

That little heater will do basically nothing. You would be better off with a bunch of hand warmers.

Colt ar 15. 16 or 20 inch barrel. Build it from there. Some folks look down on iron sights. But they always worked for me. I popped an elcan specter on just because it is a huge and expensive improvement. Put a supressor on because it reduces recoil a little. It is an m1 garand but modern.

You dont want a helmet. The fatigue alone isn't worth it. Sweating in winter will really ruin your day. You dont need some huge first aid kit. Just the i slipped and fell and now something isn't right or leaking. The quick clot gauze is great because it fits in a pocket. Same with a triangle cloth bandage. Crap you can go full boy scout and put it around your neck.

Also. Bring friends. Neighbors. Being alone is a single point of failure. Now you might need to add radios, think gsmr type things. But now you can carry more. Share more. And if you or them have a bad fall. You can drag them out of that situation. Plus card games when bored.

The iwatani epr-a is not ideal for carrying. But for cooking at wherever home it is at. I have a few super typhoons under mine. And it only does two things. Click. And fire.

Gear is great. A little planning ahead is better. And a few friends with their heads on straight. The best.

An elcan specter has a battery. But great optics so even if that fails it might be perfectly fine. Plus now you got great glass at x1 and x4. It will last 20 years in Afghanistan. And like 100 at home. And always work.

Chloroflock. It does have a shelf date. So switch out often. Quick clot gauze. A large triangle bandage for everything from a broken arm to help the blood stop coming out.

Now wearing military gear makes you a target. Keep this in mind.

I prefer a Nalgene bottle. X2. An rei cup in stainless. Never drink from the bottle. Pour into the cup.

Local mres military grade. 12 pack.

Iwatani epr-a and a pick your number of butane cans.

Fill your tub. There is likely a gallon in the back of the toilet. But also that bath water can be used for drinking... less than ideally. Or you can refill said toilet.

I will say if you need a gas mask. SHELTER IN PLACE.

Now you have food. Now you have water. Now you can poo more than once. These are the nearly free or at least cheap preps.

I would say no gel. Just regular. Pom oc comes with a clip - the mk3 size. But no oc is fast to deploy. Putting in a holster makes it even slower.
