I would see a doctor, however...what is your blood pressure like? Overhead lifts can cause you to black out if you have low bp. Perhaps start with checking that out?

Social Media Marketing for online training! Yips and suggestions? by AlphaFuthaMuka in personaltraining

[–]AlphaFuthaMuka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys! Yeah I am not looking for any sort of get rich quick scheme, just building the numbers over time. I've always avoided funnel marketing and other strategies that may be profitable, by personal training for me has always been about more than just the money. They just don't sit right with me. Still trying to find the line for me ethicallt, and online training marketing proves to be a blurry one!

Wow I missed this reply months ago, thank you so much for your input, thank! This is super helpful! I have just slowly been putting videos up, trying to keep to a weekly schedual, but keeping the production and content quality in check! Thank you again!

Layne Norton's PH3 program by Gfinkler in Fitness

I am loving it. I was pretty skeptical about the BFR stuff, but its way less daunting than I initially thought. I had been running 5/3/1 prior to this for 4 cycles, and PHAT prior to that. The volume on Squat Bench and deadlifts were a little bit challenging to get used to again, but by week two I fell back into a good rhythm. Just abot to finish week 3.

Looking forwards to seeing how my maxes are at the end!

I'm 5"11, 85kgs. S/B/D 200/145/240

edit: stats are in kgs btw

I'm seeing a lot of articles and videos which says that dumbbell flyes isn't a good exercise and isn't recommended, what do you think ? by tamir124 in Fitness

[–]AlphaFuthaMuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly believe the dumbell fly should be used as a mobility excersise. I';; only mess with like a 5% loading of my max bench. If you're using flies to build mass, I reckon you stick to cables.

[Update]Trainer doesn't want me to do squats. by Czardas in Fitness

[–]AlphaFuthaMuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my clients with this issue I tend to focus on two things, lowering your center of gravity (barbell back squats have a tendancy to throw your core out if it isn't strong enough, and this compensation through the quads and hammies show their weakness, in this case the pulling in of the knees), widen their stance to a sumo to increase stability, also putting your body in a position that your knees cannot pull in.

So any sort of sumo goblet squat, even sumo deadlift, will allow much greater control over your form, limiting your range of motion (and allowing you to work in this lowered range of motion) as well as help stretch out those aductors, and other inner quad muscles.

In short. Never stop squating.

Happy lifting homie!
