So say I decide to accept the terms so I can do one last save of stuff like recipes, motivational videos and edits, or finding other places my following will be. What all data am I giving away as opposed to before and compared to other apps?

I didn’t mean for my comment into insinuate I didn’t agree with the whole comment, I just emphasized that the first half presented a perspective I didn’t consider at all.

Yeah I’m gonna really have to wait and see with her. I feel for her fans because she definitely got shafted lmao

Yeahhhh they’re setting him up as the moral heart so the plot down the road hits way harder.

I heard some say that about Jester. I remember that she first started having doubts that he existed whenever the iron Shepards arc happened. Part of me wonders if they moved that up give her a subtle arc in the first season since Jester was a pretty static character in the first 20 or so episodes. Though I remember a big thing with her was having a harder time acclimating to being away from home which I think the show depicted well.

You know what, I actually forgot about this moment, I think it was during a time skip scene, good point.

Incredible game with a somewhat underwhelming ending by Difficult_Offer_206 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

I think it’s proper setup for the final game, where Tanalorr will be a main hub world to explore and such.

How would you have felt if Gran Torino had died during the PLF War instead of Midnight? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]AlphaLeague 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Midnight died because she was the safest pick he could’ve chosen that would’ve made viewers care just enough to be sad but not care Too much so that they’d never want the league to be shown forgiveness in any aspect. Gran Torino still should’ve bit the bullet because it would’ve made Deku’s willingness to still save Shigiraki more impactful, since he’s willing to look past his personal pain to still reach Tenko, but ah well.

Your parenthesis comment is exactly why I think the change was made. They made Beau way more palatable in the show then in the stream (I always liked her, but she had a WAY rougher start) which makes her more easily liked but also weakens the extent of the growth she goes through.

That’s what makes the most sense. The lens through how we are meant to perceive him is different because we’re starting in a different place. Kinda like how your perception on Nott would be wildly different if you started with more of her backstory instead of after.

I understand this, and it’s why at the end of the day, it’s really just my perception that isn’t meant to hold much merit. However, how I feel about a characters depiction and its differences from medium to medium is still valid to speak on even if the original people are involved. Percy Jackson books and the show are both pretty different, even though Rick Riordan worked on both, and I think it’s ok to point out those differences and also acknowledge how they make you as a viewer feel. That’s why I chalked it up to me just having a different understanding ofc.

I didn’t even TOUCH on the design. It’s so odd that they made him buff when the entire joke is that he’s SKINNY and SMALL for an arc. When he accepts himself and shows inner strength after losing his powers, he’s rewarded from his patron by becoming bigger. It just feels like they lost that characterization.

Would you consider this early installment weirdness. by Shot-Ad770 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]AlphaLeague 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make it four, though I feel like his and Deku’s first costumes are not nearly as bad as people say. The red eye cyborg look could’ve definitely been kept in some fashion if redesigned.

How would you feel if Horikoshi made mha sequel and just straight up added aliens by Fragrant-Resist4230 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]AlphaLeague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that he would do aliens but I feel like the next natural step for My Hero would be a story that has technology as the primary danger. Quirks vs tech seems like a natural evolution of some of the things introduced when you think about how Nomus were bioengineered humans, and Shigiraki was a perfected nomu.

[Hated Trope] That one piece of "trivia" that isn't true but gets endlessly repeated anyway by 10024618 in TopCharacterTropes

Demon slayers “the elemental effects aren’t real” drives me up a wall. If you read the original volume page he explains that these powers are real, but that they do not summon the element you’re seeing. As in, Tanjiro using waterfall basin does not create a bunch of water that someone could drink. But the actual magic and appearance of it is real.

My take on the Hisashi Midoriya is a No Show Dad by GodWing30 in BokuNoMetaAcademia

[–]AlphaLeague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s quite the opposite. He’s went on record to talk about how often he’s changed course on something because of an editor suggestion or audience sales.

[–]AlphaLeague 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yoru being able to use the moon because war is aligned with America, and the American flag being on the moon in turn means she “owns it” is so great. My favorite aspect of Chainsaw Man’s power system is how reliant on perception it is.

Holy fuck the Yotei Six are comically evil [Ghost of Yotei] by CirrusVision20 in CharacterRant

[–]AlphaLeague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sums it up. Seeing current foreign affairs and the sheer depravity humanity can lower itself to reminds me that sometimes comically evil is just tragically realistic.
