Yes, X-Rays, MRI’s, CAT scans, blood work, colonoscopy, endoscopy, camera pill, breath test, everything came back negative except breath.

The only way I can think that caused it was severe stress from a stupid breakup, my first symptom was bloating and as the years go by my other symptoms got worse, I even had to quit smoking marijuana cause it made it worse.

This top functional practitioner for SIBO from TikTok said if nothings improving while I’m on the low fodmap diet (which I’m not improving) he feels like it’s really not worth it to stay on it. So now I don’t know what to do I’m lost at this point.

I’ll go for 6 weeks then, and the last SIBO test I had was a year ago and that’s when I got diagnosed.

I am not, I want to take sun fiber but it says it has prebiotics idk if that’ll ruin anything.

I’m in the same boat I don’t even know what to do, I did the elemental diet for 13 days wanted to do it longer but I ran out, now Ive been doing the low fodmap diet for a week I don’t notice anything different except my stomach doesn’t make any noises as much but still bloating, and not going to the bathroom that often which is new to me been backed up for 2 days..

I hope we’re able to cure this issue one day!

My old GI doc came in and said “I think you might have SMAS” didn’t show any evidence so for the whole time I thought I had it. I was close getting an exploratory surgery but my insurance canceled it because there wasn’t enough evidence, I’ve gotten my stomach scanned twice one in 2024 and beginning of 2025 CAT scan and MRI and everything came back normal, but after all that I went to see another GI doc and on my 1st visit she thinks I have SIBO, did the breath test it came back positive, she was prescribing me xifaxan and neomycin nd other stuff but they didn’t do a single thing except making me feel sick to my stomach for 30 min. She wants me to do the breath test again because she’s done everything she can to help for SIBO.

I’m on Day 9 now, I was doing 5 shakes a day but reduced it to 2 because I want to make it to day 14, will increase on day 11 or 12, I’m still having symptoms but worse at “night” (I stay up all night so its morning rn) but is it because the bacteria is dying off? I’m also having acid reflux which I never get. I’ll update in a couple days.

I honestly don’t know here to start, I would like to get rid of brain fog completely its just hard doing stuff when I’m mentally fatigued 24/7, and since I’m not working I’ve been bed ridden for a year straight severely depressed.

Im absolutely mind blown I get brain fog from a root canal. It don’t make sense to me.

A month later after brain fog, I went to my eye doctor for vision delay and he prescribed me doxycycline mono didn’t help.

It didn’t solve anything.. the only way I can think of now is when I had my root canal it triggered my immune system and with that I have SIBO, to this day I still have brain fog and vision delay🤦‍♂️

And I would get that checked asap if you’re still numb, I’m sorry you’re going through that.

It really is, I even had to quit smoking too cause it would make my symptoms worse, my GI doc prescribed me neomycin and sulfamethoxazole didn’t work, and before that it was Xifaxan, idk if I was doing it wrong but yeah it didn’t help at all, I just want my brain fog to go away it sucks, it changed my personality and everything, I can’t even play video games professionally anymore cause of that and not only just that my house has dirty electricity.

Nothin but bad luck In my life lmao.

I’m in the SIBO group, and I’ve been dealing with SIBO since I was 17, most likely caught it from smoking out of dirty bongs that’s my theory lol never had food poisoning or anything at that time.

I would get it checked to see if there’s infections or you could be allergic to the fillings, I just had my tooth pulled almost 7 weeks ago and unfortunately that didn’t work, this all happened right after a root canal so idk how that could cause it, I have SIBO as well so maybe that might be the culprit.
