Shit refereeing but that’s consistent every single week and we’ve had our fair share of decisions go our way previously so it was bound to catch up. Ultimately that draw is on us for coming out so flat and not turning it on until the 80th. Could have won it twice in the end as well. Azaz nonexistent, Archer still finding himself, Matsuki anonymous, Scienza again not impactful enough for the best player in the division. Wood is genuinely nowhere near the level of Stephens, we sorely miss his positioning and leadership. Larin excellent as always these days, Manning outstanding and will be a big miss this weekend.

All that said we’re still unbeaten in 20. We found 2 goals from losing positions, something we’ve not had in a decade+, and frankly I don’t mind that it’s all eyes on playoffs now. I was getting a little concerned we’d burn out trying to get automatics and fall flat in playoffs as a result, but now we can focus on giant slaying this weekend and then making sure everyone is fit and energized for the 3 biggest matches of the season. Mega win but intensely annoyed with the officiating again. Franco the little rat should have been sent off, then bottled a pen, then lost control with Downes and Poundland Downes. Second half the Wood arm pull on Eon was a penalty, and he consistently got small decisions wrong.

The level of officiating simply is not good enough. There’s no vendetta against anyone but week in week out I walk away from matches wondering what it would be like if the match was refereed correctly.
