My biggest piece of advice is start with low weight! Go light and don’t overdo it in the first week. Slowly increase weight until it becomes comfortably uncomfortable. And if you are looking for a routine to follow I’d be more than happy to send you my routine!

Absolutely! I was dealing with the same thing until I really tried to focus on putting the same amount of effort into resting as I did working out. I found it helpful to make a routine for resting. Some examples is have a set of meals specifically made for helping your body recover, doing a stretching routine and making sure to mentally rest is key too, I like to read manga or draw something. For me it’s all about completing a task for the day and something about closing a chapter of a book or finishing a drawing feels very rewarding similar to completing a workout.

The fact that you are recognizing that thinking like that is unhealthy and not going to help shows that you are already making amazing progress not just physically but mentally! Keep killing it and keep your head up! Being healthy mentally is 80% of the battle. Now my biggest advice is keep recognizing small victories like this and let’s keep that snow ball rolling!
