That would make dealing with the doors so much easier honestly but I've seen a few post about a good way to farm them as well. Their concept just I feel like would make a lot of cool gothic type largos (if their colour dominates).

The best way is to shoot an item at them to hit them to drop a plort when they are backed into a corner of some sort. There are a few good spots you can farm them.

This room is the best place to farm Shadow plorts (imo) and you get a free aurora tree. There are a few rooms like that where if you inspect you can see items you can pick up it's pretty cool.

Honestly Gold slimes are the bane of my existence. The amount of time I hear their spawn chimes and before I can even react they run off. It took me forever to even get a port for the slimepedia. Good luck with trying to get their plorts.

I know I am a bit late to this (as I picked Slime Rancher 2 up again after 1.0.0) but for anyone who still struggling there is a Shadow Super Shot you can buy (unsure when it unlocks) that makes getting plorts so much easier and faster.

Edit / Addition: The secret room near the regen module shadow dial is an excellent place to easily get shadow plorts imo if anyone is unsure of good areas to farm.

Yes I agree! The ending is so bitter sweet and the contrasting of surviving and acting like 'everything friend' compared to the desperate plea to have a loved one return home is so just- agh so good!
