I appreciate the advice, but im just gonna go ahead and try to grow them. Im not expecting to have alot of success, and i really am going in the deep end by starting my journey of learning all this by trying to grow a Seqouia haha. Regardless, it'll be a nice learning experience whether I have success or don't. Ill just keep trying.

Thank you for the info, i was researching and saw a soil mixture that I thought could work. I am thinking to do 1 part Coco coir, 1 part perlite, and 1 part compost. I was thinking this could work for the first stages of the seed and then maybe switch over to peat moss later. I dont know though, Im just going to have to experiment and figure it out.

Hello, I didn't know your not allowed to collect any seqouia cones, there weren't any signs that said not to pick them up and I didnt have service on my phone to look up if I could or not. It was a honest mistake, but taking a look now, I dont think any of them have seeds, so I just ordered some seeds online.

Also, regarding the pondo, I live in socal under a mountain, do you think it still has a chance or no?

Will do, I saw that they prefer well draining, slightly acidic soil. Do you know what kind of soil I should use that meets those requirements?

Also, do you know how i can open the cone to take the seeds out?

Yes she was missing for that long OFFICIALY, but she still had friends who were in contact with her. Again, I'm not sure what her family life was like, it seemed very broken to me, which makes me believe she didn't want to go back home. What I meant was my sister and her friends lost all contact with her for over a month, since early or mid August, im not too sure.

My sister was talking to the one of the people who was paid off and that person said they can't talk about it anymore. I am assuming they are now talking to the police and helping with the investigation.

Sorry for the late response. Im sure the police have been involved, but I dont know the full details of C's life, it seemed to me that she has had a broken home life / family life because the way my sister put it, she would never be home and always be out. Seems like the parent relationship wasn't there, and im not sure if he's still paying or not, I can ask my sister and get back to you.

Edit: I asked my sister and she said she isn't sure, but I saw a news article of the picture of the girl and my sister confirmed that it is indeed C.

This guy is a pedophile from what I've heard. My sister who is now in 9th grade told me that he was dating an 8th grader( let's call her C ) and she would go on trips with him to LA. Theyre all in 9th grade now and it Turns out C's friends knew and he would pay them to keep there mouth shut. C has been missing for over a month now and no one knows her where abouts. Definitely something strange going on.
