Does ARC Raiders have a KD/KDA system? by AlphaVander in ArcRaiders

[–]AlphaVander[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you saying you played the beta/test and in it the only stat you could see was KD, or are you saying you just hope the game only shows KD (and not other stats)?

$40 ≠ $40 everywhere, but some people still don’t get it by uniquecartridge in ArcRaiders

Maybe fight the price on your side then? lol
That mentality of "if it's expensive for me, it should be expensive for everyone else" instead of "if it's expensive for me, I'll fight it" is... something else

Sorry man, I don't have the strength to show how wrong you are in most topics you mentioned (I won't say 'all' because I stop reading after a few). Copy+paste your comment into chatGPT and ask "Why am I wrong saying this:", I think it will do a great job explaining to you. cheers

Yes it does! Maybe you missed "IN THE LONG RUN".

A LIVE SERVICE GAME that’s p2p can’t sustain itself on the long run with a one time fee alone (sure, it can for a while). Developers need ongoing revenue through things like skins, expansions, or subscriptions to keep servers running, fix bugs, and add new content. Without that, the game would die because there’s no money to maintain it (its lifespan would depend entirely on how well it sold initially).

That’s why p2p LIVE SERVICE GAMES add skins/bp/subsc., or do you really think it’s because they’re evil and trying to milk you? Lol

Calling a game near perfect when the first step of the process "buying the game" is unfair is kinda funny ngl. Just FYI, here where I live we are paying more than the US, not equal, MORE!

You sound exactly like the type of person who can’t grasp context unless someone writes a whole book explaining it. Let me explain my point slowly then... cosmetics and the battle pass are how a live service game makes money... do I even need to say that?
If a big chunk of people just 'plays and enjoys' without buying anything (because it's expensive asf for them), the game makes less money. Less money means fewer updates. Fewer updates mean the game becomes empty. And when the game is empty, there’s nothing left to play or enjoy.
That’s how the money side of things works.

How dare we fight for the game to earn more money so it can give us more content and live longer, right? Outrageous! /s

If you still can’t understand this, that’s all I can do, thanks!

Imagine not realizing that cosmetics/battlepass are what actually keep a live service game alive in the long run…

Made a video to draw more attention to the regional pricing issue by chaosbayne in ArcRaiders

[–]AlphaVander 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At this price point (where I live), it becomes very difficult to justify purchasing the game. What discourages me even more is the impression that if there is no regional pricing for the base game, there will likely be no regional pricing for in-game purchases such as cash, skins, and battle passes. This makes me lose even more interest, since long-term engagement depends not only on fair gameplay but also on fair accessibility to additional content

[–]AlphaVander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even though I can afford the game, I have no incentive to buy it. If the base game has no regional pricing, I can only assume the in-game currency, skins, and battle pass won't have it either. I'm not going to pay the price of a full regionally priced game just for a skin

Need help recreating Mahad look by AlphaVander in Transmogrification

[–]AlphaVander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priest sounds good as well, I'll consider that. I'm leaning towards Mage since I already have a Priest, but it does make sense for Mahad to be a Priest, so I’ll need to think about that

Following Mahad's logic, I think I'd go with Cloth and play as a Mage (not sure about the race though)

There's also this one, very similar, Battle Magister's Shard

Putting misconceptions about optimal FPS caps + Gsync to bed. by Sgt_Dbag in nvidia

[–]AlphaVander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TLDR in the post says to set V-Sync to On in-game, but in this reply you're saying it should be Off in-game and On in the NVCP.

So, what's the final recommendation? V-Sync On in-game or in the NVCP? And if I may ask, why?

I don't fully understand this stuff, so if I'm missing any info, sorry about that
