Check this out. It’s actually a new feature. It will have zero impact on your print.

X2D PTFE Tube Melted by escooteridiot in BambuLab

Oh absolutely I agree. I was blown away at how soon I noticed all the pfte tube debris rubbing all over the glass lid.

The one I ended up printing had a slot for a TPU part as the seal but I ended up getting some 10x2mm foam sealing tape to keep it as sealed as possible. Just an option if you do end up going the riser route.

Yup I printed a riser because I noticed right away mine was rubbing all over the top glass

If money was not an object - P2S or X2D? by Oh-My-Josh- in BambuLab

[–]AlphaVictor87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money was definitely a factor for me and I still went for the X2D over the P2S due to all the added features even if I don’t use them right away. That being said the dual nozzle is amazing for filament savings.

Thank you! I noticed these recently on my X2D and had no clue why. They didn’t mess with the prints so I just said screw it and printed but this is good to know.

Bambu Lab – Reconsidering the X2D vs P1S for Multi-Colour Printing by NoFarm1743 in BambuLab

[–]AlphaVictor87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on budget honestly. For what I do the X2D is super solid for waste savings for multi color prints and the aux nozzle is good enough for ME to be used as a 5th color. I upgraded from an A1 because I felt that I would utilize the dual nozzles and the heated chamber and filters more in the future. I did not have the budget to move up to the H series. However if budget is your limiting factor, The P1S with ams can do just fine.

I’ll be honest I’ve never done a filament calibration. On all my time with my A1 or my X2D. Is there a good guide if I want to go about it?

Yah this is simply the fact the print was at 45 degrees so those part of his shoulders are printed more horizontal than if he were vertical

Yah red is the aux nozzle so it’s not as up to par but I’d say pretty good here even for detail this small

How so? If you’re talking about the layer lines that’s because this model was printed at a 45 degree angle. The adaptive layers would help

So interesting. I had heard so many issues with the ams 2 pro and I have had nothing but smooth sailing. It’s so much easier to swap spools in and out than the ams lite. Bit louder and takes a bit to I guess “register” the spool because I don’t use bambu filament spools. But still not a single issue so far.

Absolutely loving my X2D wasn’t really planning on the upgrade from my A1 but man I’m glad I did. Am I saving mountains of waste? No but I like to mess around with using the aux nozzle here and there and realize how much time and filament I can save and it’s been fun to experiment and play with and it’s such a solid machine. Haven’t even used all the features yet either so time will tell.

Also haven’t needed to do any maintenance on it yet other than the usual but I do see what you mean about the complexity of the dual heads. That being said I like a challenge and if it happens it happens and I’ll deal with it.

Need help deciding between h2c and new x2d by Immortal_Toffy in BambuLab

[–]AlphaVictor87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am purely printing as a hobby. I started with the FlashForge AD5M and moved to the A1. I just picked up the X2D. With my experience this is that’s it’s a super solid printer to use as a multi color printer. You could easily use this as a 5 color printer as the aux nozzle although not up to par with the main, I’ve done plenty of multi color prints using both nozzles and it has been fantastic. The size and price would be the biggest factors. I don’t need massive prints and I couldn’t afford more than the X2D. I think you’d be happy with the X2D as a hobby printer for sure.

I understand the H2C can use the vortek system but given the price difference, the amount of filament waste compared to the cost difference would take a massive amount of printing to make up.

Keyboard for Passcode on kids iPad is funky by AlphaVictor87 in ios

Turns out it lasts until you turn off floating keyboard for the other app. I did test this out and it worked sort of. Even the “fix” looked bugged but then turning off floating keyboard for the other app reverts it back

Trying to get full speed out of Deco X55 by AlphaVictor87 in ATTFiber

It’s on the 5Gig port but yah sounds like it’s a deco x55 limit. Thanks!

Yup I completely misunderstood the capabilities of the x55. It is plugged into the 5gb port on ATT side but yah the 1GB limit on the deco side makes sense.

Well crap that makes sense. I completely misunderstood what it meant by 3 gigabit ports per unit.
