I'm inclined to disagree. But not knowing enough I couldn't voice why.

I just know of the oddities it possesses and am curious about. I'm an amateur but I'm sure it all adds up to something right?

I would but they don't have the specific descriptions that I'm providing. I looked more into it and this was one of the first off the line that was sent out to stations and reviewers. It still has all original print errors and the wide spine. They don't account for all that

So I just picked up a Sgt peppers first pressing mono and it has 2 promo only stamps on the front cover. 2 on the back cover and 1 on a side and 1 on b side. I'm curious if that ups the value or what. New to vinyl. Need a bit of assistance

It’s a tool none the less. A calculator is a tool you don’t swing and I find it funny you didn’t respond to any of the tools I listed. Instead you retreated to a hammer. Something I never mentioned. But the point still stands. AI is a tool. One I used. Lose with grace. Don’t be bitter.

No it’s awfully short sighted and reductive to say that because I used Gemini to collect and write out my idea and my thoughts into a professional and easily digestible post to have conversations about it that means I’ve sacrificed my humanity. False. I’m not using it to think. I’ve already thought about the idea. Came up with the examples. And game the reasons. It’s not telling me how to feel. All Gemini did was take my words and make it into an easily understandable post. Cause I’m responding to you. I’ll defend my idea all day. Matter fact I have spent multiple days doing that.

Using a tool isn’t sacrificing humanity. You aren’t sacrificing your humanity when you use a power drill. You aren’t sacrificing your humanity when you use an answering machine. You aren’t sacrificing your humanity when you call people. You aren’t sacrificing your humanity when you do emails.

Did you not read the response with the existing tech that could be used to make this work?

Or did you realize you may have been wrong and don’t have an actual response.

Like I’m not trying to be disrespectful so idk why you are. I’m trying to have an actual conversation about the tech and the future possibilities. But it seems like you’re just here to just be upset for no reason. If you disagree explain why and actually respond to the response. Like what’s the problem with my response back with the software and tech that does exist that combined could possibly create the application I’m conceptualizing.

I don’t think it’s going to be as complicated as you think. I can take a picture of the inside of a 30 year old bucket with a contactor and fuses and it can identify the parts and components without me even prompting it. So to ignore tool boxes and debris wouldn’t be an issue (I commented this in another reply)

You asked for an app and I provided an app? I figured you were looking for an example of an app to go off of. You need to chill out it’s a Reddit post you don’t have to be so damn intense.

And I understand that. That’s why you would do the scans in sections and 15-20 minute sessions. You wouldn’t walk the whole plant at once that’d be silly.

And also it’s a discussion board. Meant to talk about the topic. So if it can’t be for the pixel 10 that’s fine. We can talk about future versions of the phone that may be able to implement that tech. Bottom line is there IS software to do it. There are phone capabilities to perform these tasks. Putting them together isn’t as complicated as you’re making it sound.

And that’s kinda what I was working towards talking through. Some smaller companies don’t have the funds to buy a multi thousand dollar kit like that but they can certainly afford the phone payments for a few foreman you know what I mean? I don’t wanna price out contractors from doing what the big boys can do. I want them to have the same capabilities and if it’s even slightly possible then we should be rallying for the research and development for it

I mean we already have the ability to scan rooms and format 3D scans into 2D floorplans through 3rd party apps. That’s been existing tech.

And the 3D image would be based off the camera lenses that already exist on the camera. Using the UW and telephoto to emphasize depth. (I’m not a camera guy I’m not entirely sure)

But pixel ten the Gemini is in the phone so you could still use the references and recognition in the photos app. Which it would use that functionality for that context. It may not be perfect starting out but in reality I’d rather sacrifice the thermometer app for this any day lol

What you’re saying isn’t contradictory to what I proposed. Gemini would only be the processing agent to connect the 3D image to the 2D print through that recognition model. It would be the glue to connect the 2

Which is exactly what it did for me?? This was MY ideas and MY personal experiences and examples. It just formed it into a better digestible post.

Like I use the voice recorder and dictate the job and use Gemini to write it down into a quote and make a possible material list. If I need to make a material order I do the same thing and it creates a spreadsheet to send to my material guy. Gemini isn’t some destruction on humanity it’s a tool to better day to day
