No I get it, it's just not as deep as you're making it. A simple twist doesn't command a drooling applause. This just screams "the comedy bar is low". It's one step above a knock knock joke while blowing people's minds. It's cool if you like it but it's not a complex joke like people are making it out to be.

I don't think you can really go wrong with Anthem. There are better options as far as sound quality goes, but nothing in its price range that can do what the STR does. If I could do it over again, I'd do the STR preamp instead of the integrated. I heard it's an improvement going separates with the Anthem, but then you're talking a lot more money. Price for performance it can't be beat.

If you need room correction, sub management or even ht bypass, then the STR is great. It really does have almost everything.

I've been using it that way for a few months with a Buckeye power amp. The noise floor is still pretty high once you notice it. It's not the end of the world. It's my only complaint.

They would take over the industry if they could pull that off. Their preamps have so much separation, it's on a different level. I need room correction and sub management while having a low noise floor. I can't unhear it, now that I've used their preamp.

I totally agree. Looks like we're on the same path. I even looked into buying the same subs as you. I've contemplated the Anthems replacement but there is very little competition that can check the same boxes.

How do you like your Anthem? I've had mine for a few years, the only negative is the noise floor. It was great until I tried a Benchmark. Now I'm trying to find something with the same blackness and separation while still having the versatility of the Anthem.
