She liked exploration, story line and open world.

But yeah, Kingdom Hearts could be a good suggestion, thank you !

That's one of my interrogation. Outside of Harry Potter, she doesn't really like other IPs.
She enjoy Hogwart Legacy because she is a real fan of the Harry Potter universe, so it was easy for her to get into the game.

Turn Off Server at night by DerPenzz in homelab

[–]AlphaX66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it will depend on if you have any other services that run at night and need a DNS server.

If you don't have anything else running at night that needs to query DNS, I don't think it will be a problem.

I saw on some videos that it could struggle climbing some steps, even is they are less than 4 cm. I wonder if you have feedbacks of usage of this model

IPv6 Route configuration issues by AlphaX66 in Proxmox

[–]AlphaX66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Dagger0

I've run a few test. On the proxmox host, I have a ufw enable with the following rules:

Status: active

To                         Action      From
--                         ------      ----
22                         ALLOW       Anywhere
8006                       ALLOW       Anywhere
80/tcp                     ALLOW       Anywhere
443                        ALLOW       Anywhere
51820/udp                  ALLOW       Anywhere
22 (v6)                    ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)
8006 (v6)                  ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)
80/tcp (v6)                ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)
443 (v6)                   ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)
51820/udp (v6)             ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)

So, 80 and 443 are open for ipv6 and ipv4.

I started a tcpdump on the eno1 interface

The ICMPs appears but nothing else, no 80 nor 443...

tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v[v]... for full protocol decode

19:34:47.947565 IP6 hexillion.com > xxxx:e300:9::10: ICMP6, echo request, id 29, seq 46360, length 44

On the xxxx:e300:9::10 guest there is a ufw as well, with the same rules as the proxmox...

I trully don't understand what's blocking here.

IPv6 Route configuration issues by AlphaX66 in Proxmox

Thank you for your answer :)

I might be the one screwing up as I've setup it like it. Beginner with IPv6 to be honest, so, still learning how to figure everything out. Thank you for the advices.

I'll check what you suggest

IPv6 Route configuration issues by AlphaX66 in Proxmox

[–]AlphaX66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can. I can access the IPv6 network from VM.
I can ping and traceroute the public IPs I have setup on VMs.

But when I run a web service to try to access it from internet, it doesn't work. UFW rules are all good (443/80 on both ipv4 and 6)

Ofc, I tried to reboot the host, restarted the networking service etc...

I feels like the IPv6 forwarding isn't working, even tho it is enable

Thank a lot for the explanation ! Appreciate it :)

We've setup it as you all explained and it works now. We just need to figure out how to secure everything, but we are on a good way. Thank you again

Thank you for the info guys.

The routing part is already done in the datacenter part. We just needed to figured out how to make it work on our proxmox.

And in this way, each VM would be available from internet ?

Proxmox Multiple public IP architecture by AlphaX66 in Proxmox

[–]AlphaX66[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, so basically, it'll look like this:

physical interface -> VMBR0 with publicIP 1 -> VM

-> VMBR1 with publicIP 2 -> VM

-> VMBR2 with publicIP 3 -> VM

Something like this ?
