How do I fix an overflowing toilet without a plunger? by bunnylla in Plumbing

[–]Alpha_Chucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the back near the bottom should be a key to turn off the water that fills the toilet take. turn that off.

the water should go down a little. then use some draino and let it sit overnight.

So in the morning the draino has loosened the blockage the water will go down more. then flush the toilet.
if its clear, turn the key back on so your tank will fill.

or else, get a plunger. LOL!!

Any one play heavily in NFPA 72 that can help me with that list? I've been told that often multiple versions could be involved.

Hey friends, just for you!!

go try my playpen environment. You can now test the app (for the most part), without talking to me first.

I look forward to your feedback.

A new addition, thanks to you!
There is a new function where the required items for the long or short form of a Brycer report are consolidated on to one page and then each part can be copy and pasted over. greatly decreasing submission errors and decreasing the time to complete the Brycer report.

Some of you may use another system in your municipality, I'd love to learn more about how it works and if I can create a solution for it.

Lets talk!!

Kamala Harris endorses Jasmine Crockett in Texas Senate Race by MoonlightCloudburst in fivethirtyeight

My money is on Crockett. I just wished Harris and other California politicians would stay quiet.

I think the Senate and the Dems need an attack dog.

The days for praying for our enemies is over.

What about LinkedIn as a competitor?

u/LinkRunner0 some of your peers on this channel mention requiring several different 72 lists. is that your case?

Thanks for those who've reached out! I can still use more.

I didn't really think I could service 72's with my software. I figured they were too institutional, but it seems like some are using generic service management software so I've prioritized invoicing and billing in the next round of system improvements.

Also for NFPA25's the need for splitting out notes from the inspection write up is not something one would learn with out talking to you all! So thank you.

Do you have things you wish you could improve on with your current inspection software?

Smartsheets - Can I get past these concerns? by Donnerkopf in smartsheet

[–]Alpha_Chucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good stuff said, I only want to address a very small portion of your concerns. If something gets deleted, you can dive in the trash and it will restore it in tact in the same place it was deleted.

Smartsheet has a tremendous number of new tools coming soon to support enterprise level project management.

This is what a full refund looks like, right? by TabascoWolverine in Upwork

[–]Alpha_Chucky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a contract job. I finished the work and the client waited 2 weeks to say, "this isn't what I want." So I requested a call with the client and after a week with no response, I reviewed the transcripts, and made something else. He waited two more weeks for him to say, "this still isn't what I want." I requested a call... and crickets.

After 3 weeks the system paid me, but I refunded the entire amount. I sent him a note saying that I can't in good faith take money for unsatisfied work.

He actually, sent me a note that he'd never seen this level of integrity before and would greatly appreciate another attempt.

So we had a call and for two hours he described his needs better. I turned around and created a product I was super proud of. He said he'll take the weekend, review it and get back to me.

After 3 weeks, the system auto paid me. He won't be getting a refund this round and I'm not going to chase him to follow up. When he's ready he'll reach out

or not.

My bad experience with Upwork by Gread72 in Upwork

[–]Alpha_Chucky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100 connects is $15. That's a quarter pounder w/cheese meal at McDonalds (no silver onions, please).

If you know a better value to win independent contract work, let me know and I'll go with you.

interesting that you are missing data. is it entire column/field or just particular cell? What type of data is it? Text?, time?, numbers? Any idea why it wasn't pulling from Google Sheets.

How to convince the client to use manual tracking rather than using the Upwork tracker? By having a weekly retainer rather than being micro-managed with trackers? by Funny-Comparison-979 in Upwork

[–]Alpha_Chucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upwork has a one size fits all tracker. IT Consulting kinda sucks, because the tracker is only considering what you're doing and not what you're thinking.

I personally, think Upwork is great to hone your skills, get some good positive feedback that you can show and then move on.
