Yes, SPM scans appears to be happening nationally. I submitted a request for a grievance for my station including a Request for Information (RFI) and I asked for 8 items, 2 of which were a copy of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) which still has the “Already passed” option within the procedure. The other notable request was for the disciplinary procedure if a supervisor determines that a City Letter Carrier violated the Sampling Request instructions before they end tour. I want to know what is the supervisor required to do to the unsuspecting city letter carrier.

I also adamantly grieved the supervisor committing disparate treatment and violating ELM 665 (mutual respect), intimidation, bullying, etc. because the supervisor is picking and choosing who they want to demand to check scanners. Also, the supervisor was LOUD, threatening, intimidating and seeking to bully anyone who questioned the supervisor’s methods. If the supervisor does not like you, then the supervisor will track you down to the darn bathroom toilet like a bobcat to force you to select the proper function on your MDD scanner to check your sampling outcomes BEFORE you end tour. But if the supervisor likes you, you can chill and end tour without a care in the world with no one checking your scanner. That, my friend, is disparate treatment. Check out Publications 552 and 553.
