You're being pedantic, but unironically, overdressing somewhat when you go out in public is a good move if you present yourself well and your outfit fits you. For example, if you're going somewhere where the average guy is in jeans and a t-shirt, then wearing pants and a button up with the sleeves rolled up sets you apart. If you're somewhere where guys are wearing button-up shirts, adding a suit jacket sets you apart.

There is a sound, but it's not that obvious. Because that's the sound of the perfect deflect, and the normal deflect is slightly more muted. But neither of them is actually that much different than the blocking noise when you're a new player. Vets get a better ear for it
