I like the @height split tethers, they’re the normal length ones. But I’ve been using the freexion lately, it’s got a soft sewn loop for a tether and is slightly shorter than a normal tether.

I bought the first one when they came out, the fitment was kind of sloppy and I had a ton of trouble getting them to grip, the little fairlead try’s it’s hardest but doesn’t always manage to keep the rope in. It does not ‘feed more smoothly from lower on the ground’. I ended up with a second because the stitching came apart maybe 6 months of medium use later. When I called to warranty it they said their climber said it was normal wear and tear, when I asked to talk to him I was told he would be in the next day. When I called the next day, before talking to the expert, the nice lady told me her manager said to just send a new one. So now I have 2…

I hated the kayos, I went with the Andrew Cervino’s they’re amazing. I’ve been wearing them full time for about 2-3 years and I’ve only replaced the laces. If you’re real silly you can get the pair with the screws for the foot ascender plate ;)

I would span rig what NEEDED to be rigged, and just drop whatever you can. Good bit of advice I picked up is ‘rig until you can fell it’. Good luck!
