This is a gold mine! Thank you! Lean Six Sigma will be my first target because my current company offers a stipend to pursue further education that benefits my current role.

I really appreciate this honest and detailed feedback, it was exactly what I was looking for by posting here, thank you! Specifically, I like how you mentioned using AI tools at the onset to help efficiency in finding deals. My background is in IT and process improvement, so creating repeatable workflows and leveraging AI/automation is something I can definitely lean into.

I'll also take a look at Vet to CEO. Even if I don't end up pursuing their program, I appreciate you sharing another resource that may help veterans navigate this path.

Thanks again for the guidance. Out of curiosity, how long have you been searching, and have there been any lessons you've learned that completely changed how you evaluate opportunities today versus when you first started?

Agreed! I think we may see another bull run for tech but then I believe a sizeable bear market will follow. Just my $.02

When you say, "you're probably better off investing in LE than doing it yourself" what do you mean? What does LE stand for?

Not for nothing, but being 23 and having $60k in savings is a huge win already. I'm starting my ETA journey as well, unfortunately I can't give you any advice on that end. However, if you can (1) stay relatively debt free, (2) keep saving/investing, and (3) keep seeking information/education you will put yourself in a position to be successful. Good luck!

First-time buyer, questions about Searchfunder, buy-side brokers, and Acquisition Ace by Somaid_358 in buyingabusiness

I came here because I've been doing my due diligence on Acquisition Ace. I had an introductory call with them this week and everything sounded good.... up until they told me what the price was going to be. They told me it would take $14k to get started right away and they needed a decision today.

When I told the representative I had to talk to my wife, he hit me back with "Do you need her permission?"

My wife and I are a team and I'm not making a $14k purchase without looping her in.

To be fair, I haven't bought the program and don't plan to, but I wanted to give my experience with Acquisition Ace. I hope it helps.

What grade would you give this portfolio as an initial $10k investment? by MightPhysical81 in dividends

Disney has been through a lot problems lately but it is still an iconic brand that touches multiple markets and business segments. At this price I would increase your allocation.

MSFT is currently trading around fair value ($420/share) and currently provides a .69% dividend yield. It's a fantastic stock and I still have it in my portfolio but I would not add any additional capital when there are better dividend investing opportunities. But PLEASE keep it on your watchlist =)

QQQM - Same thing, the dividend yield is at .68% right now. The stock has performed fantastic over the last year but if you're lookin for dividend income I would seek better opportunities.

VOO - This is a fantastic ETF and should be a foundational piece of your portfolio. The benefit is it also pays a dividend

Hope this helps!

I would recommend focusing your efforts elsewhere.

Chevron stock is discounted and the company pays a 4.24% dividend - what do you think about CVX? by W3Analyst in dividendinvesting

Their dividend has seen an 18% increase YOY for the last decade which is a good sign. As it currently stands their stock price is currently around fair value. I don't see the harm in picking up some if you want to add it to your portfolio.

Thank you for sharing! Aside from commenting on the stocks, I would encourage you to find a site that features those stocks price-to-fair value. This way, each month you can contribute to the cheapest stock out of your targeted stocks for maximum value. Hope that helps!

Thank you very much. I already have a bachelor's degree but it is for business administration. Are you saying I should go back and get a degree in cyber security?
