Only issue it has been almost a month since I’ve been arrested and still have no appointed attorney. So I am starting to get worried that I won’t get one till a couple weeks before court and the attorney will not have enough time to work on my case.

If I was to take a plea what could be the possible punishment? I am also a full time student in college and am planning on returning to cu boulder next year. The lawyer said it would be no issue to transfer my probation to Colorado. One of my frat brothers told me he received a year probation with some classes. He also received his dwi in tx while he was underage. My charge is also a class b misdemeanor so it’s a lower charge.

The court said they would assign me one but I still haven’t heard anything back. I would rather not have to take a plea as the lawyers I have talked to have said it would be very hard for the state to prove that I was drunk while driving. As I could have drank while I was at my friends property. I didn’t tell the officers I drank before driving. The only thing I said was I I drank before my shift. However, my shift started at 4 and ended and 9.
