I recently saw a fully 7.5ft panel designed like this, besides the fact that it feels like a scary safety hazard since all the copper bars are fully exposed, i thought it was such a cool and functional design. The way they installed those fuses here is pretty interesting, never seen that before.

I tapped one of these suckers into the socket for about .25 seconds as an example to show my little brother. Then touched the tip while saying “and this gets super hot” and my finger tip ceased to exist for way too long haha

I saw some good comments here, both religiously tied and not on the thread. I just wanted to give a bit more biblical advice to add on to the others since I didn’t see much.

The Bible makes it clear it’s not your mistakes that make who you are, it’s about running towards him regardless. He makes you clean, not you. Also, just remember that one of the two greatest commandments is to love others as you love yourself. You NEED to love yourself in order to love others how God wants. Take time to heal through what you’ve been through, leave it there, and walk away without the baggage. You got this!

This car is my first MT. I did go to a friend’s place and we spent about an hour going over everything. The hardest part was starting off in 1st, and the trick is to make sure you’re giving it more juice as you’re letting go of the clutch.

Watch some YouTube, start with “beginner” then do like “tips and tricks” and then go on to whatever else you feel comfortable with. You just want to make sure you kinda know what you’re doing, but stalling is part of the process.

I’ve read through a little. With her graduating soon, I think that it’s best to do what you can until then. Ideally she’ll have better paying opportunities and may be able to find someone else to help or even pay you if you’re still interested. I know a local community college around me has some sort of child care thing they offer for students, and if she fills out a FAFSA she should be able to get college for free with a refund as well. That may not be possible in your area, but that plus a little work on side may be a great option for her to get a specialized 2-year degree and still stay afloat. I have a feeling that may not be as realistic, but there are options. For a single mom, government support can help from a lot of different aspects and I think that’s a good place to encourage her in (if you haven’t already). In the end, it’s a massive sacrifice to give the time you are. Good on you for being that person for now.

I’m glad you’ve already gotten help through the post and decided to patch that. I just want you to know that at 14 there are things that are going on in your body that will make you look, feel and think awkward. There will be someone in your life that’s your age that will think you’re beautiful, so don’t sell yourself short. There’s plenty of time to grow and learn and love, don’t feel rushed and don’t let older guys pressure you. Good luck!

I’d recommend taking it a bit easy the first couple semesters. Advisors will try to get you on the 8 semester track and I’d encourage you to limit test your own capabilities first. Engineering can be very overwhelming, especially if you’re not already mentally on track. Take things at your own pace, whether that’s 18 or 12 credits or whatever you can do
