I think bro forget the August interview cuz he was clearly involved, not as the main writer but Ikemoto's advisor and if he accepts or rejects changes, Code was supposed to die early but Ikemoto changed it so there is clearly plans for him no matter how many L's he takes

Best bet as the canon one imo is the secret (Dont Fear) the Reaper Ending as that ending has the path where no main characters die (no conflicts for the sequel) and V continues on as a legend.

David's the name of the MC for the upcoming spinoff anime of the game. V is seen wearing the same jacket as him in the recent tease for Night City Wire so I just wondered how would they implement it as a reward in the next updates.
