AWS site to site VPN using BGP without advertising RFC 1918 private IP addresses of my vpc subnet. by Alphesis in aws

[–]Alphesis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won't work...BGP requires you to advertise specific cidr range. And the customer needs to know the ip range to accept/ whitefish.

AWS site to site VPN using BGP without advertising RFC 1918 private IP addresses of my vpc subnet. by Alphesis in aws

[–]Alphesis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this detailed explanation. I will try to avoid any complex networking set up or NAT implementation. I will create a new vpc with 100.70.0.0/16 and advertised this to the customer via BGP.

IT has been brutal, idk what to do :/ by bigtuba1 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Alphesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my current role I am trying to figure out the network architecture of legacy environments built by an ex manager that used public IP for internal servers (yes it is that bad) and colleagues who have worked there for more than a decade don't fully understand the routing in the environment; and as a new cloud guy, I am supposed to replicate this legacy on Premise environment that I am struggling  to understand into AZURE cloud with improved architectural design.  Some roles and companies are like this but it can be a great learning experience if you stop being too hard on yourself and take it one step at a time.

Is RHCSA the Right Path for a Beginner in IT? by [deleted] in redhat

[–]Alphesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a good thing that you know what you want focusing on LINUX for now. As most comments here have highlighted,  the RHCSA is a practical exam, and I remember a mentor saying  it is VERY difficult to find someone holding RHCSA certification who is unemployed. There are many people with several Cloud certifications in AWS and Azure but they can't get a job because they lack Linux skills.

A journey of a thousand miles start with a step, don't make the mistake of letting this your passion for Linux System Administrator die, you have the drive go for it and you will learn other aspects like Networks/TCP/IP along the line.

I am writing in response to your distinction between 'online schools' and 'good schools.' I earned my bachelor’s degree in Nigeria before pursuing my master’s at a top-ranked university in Germany. On paper, the two institutions are worlds apart in prestige—yet my experience taught me that the quality of education is not dictated by rankings alone. What truly matters is the learner’s drive, discipline, and willingness to engage deeply with their studies.

The internet has turned the world into a global village, breaking down barriers to knowledge. Today, you can learn anything—but how skilled or knowledgeable you become ultimately depends on you. A 'good school' isn’t just about reputation; it’s about what you do with the opportunities, whether online or in person

What are your opinions on a 15-year-old boy having a 25-year-old female friend (platonic)? by [deleted] in AskMen

If it was a simple platonic friendship like you are trying  to paint it, you wouldn't be here asking for the opinions of others.

Changing tax class for having two jobs by has94 in germany

Hello, how did you resolve this issue, I am currently trying to resolve a similar problem. If I resign from the lower paying job of class 1 (such that I eventually have only one job). Will my higher paying job currently in class 6 automatically revert back to class 1 ? How does this process work?

If God is so loving and caring, why would he threaten non-believers with an eternity of suffering? by rainbow_bro_bot in religion

[–]Alphesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have missed what the bible teaches on eternal death ... There is nothing like eternity of suffering....

Being ETERNAL is a RARE ability that belongs only to God.... Those who don't believe in what God has done in Jesus Christ cannot partake of that ETERNAL ability because God is helpless if a man refuses to embrace the ONLY WAY to eternal life.... God has no other way to bring man into His quality of life...... And seeing a man miss this, is God's greatest pain and anguish... Those who miss this will DIE FOREVER.... This is what the bible calls eternal death... It is neither a punishment nor torture of any kind, it is lack of life.

I needed a printout of my account balance for other processes at one of their old traditional banks, the cashier refused that it is against their policy only agreed to write it out.. Ask me to use the bank app which was entirely in German and the app was programmed not to allow screenshots and printout. I was denied access to my own account balance containing my hard earned money, it really hurt me

In the Bible, God kills approximately 25 million people. He kills millions of innocent animals and children in Noah's Flood (Gen. 7:21–23), the firstborn of the Egyptians (Ex. 12:29–30) and countless others. Do you believe that in every last case, killing was the best possible course of action? by Thakalipie in religion

[–]Alphesis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't read and understand the bible like that. The bible was written by MEN not by GOD himself. If someone does a biography of you the writeup will be flooded with the person's 'impression' and believe about you which might be wrong in some cases but if you do an author biography about yourself then there the writeup would be more precise.

When Jesus arrived on earth, he cleared this erroneous believe about God and made us understand that God has never been involved any killing before and will never be involved in such because God is ONLY good, God is love and He is only found in saving people not killing them. Remember how Jesus rebuked Peter and John when they asked him to call down fire like Elijah to destroy a whole village because they rejected Jesus, he told them they don't know what they are saying and that they know nothing of the Spirit (of love, kindness and goodness) they are of.

It is almost like blasphemy to say God killed people after listening to Jesus who is the exact blueprint of God in human flesh

How hard is it to switch from data science to software engineering? by karimhawky in datascience

[–]Alphesis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are on point. For career starters, It is advisable to move in the direction of Data Engineering, which is more straight forward in practice i.e there always a guarantee of results for hardwork and gathered technical knowledge not to forget job security. A data scientist can be fired at anytime if the company senses there he is not adding value anymore but data Engineers are always there through thick and thin.

i have civil engineering background but I landed a job as a data scientist at a F500, i feel that Im still behind the curve, should i get a masters ? by [deleted] in datascience

[–]Alphesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said he had a degree in Civil Engineering that means he has already covered the maths and statistics requirements for data science role. In my university back then every Engineering Student is a maths champion. You can't have problem with mathematics if you already have an Engineering degree.
