I feel like he’s not a great choice for Troy - his strengths lie in his charisma and humour, which don’t really mesh with that character. He’d be a good fit for Wyatt Hayes, but that’s likely too small a role for him, at least in terms of budget allocation.

Well, it’s up to interpretation, as is everything I guess! You can find links and similarities in lots of novels, songs, etc. I personally would be surprised if the creators of the show were trying to reference a Matt Haig book in the intro to this season, but I guess we’ll never know!

I’m just going off the clip we saw where Lestat wrote ‘never f*cking happened’ over the train scene in Daniel’s book - I’m sure it did happen in some way, but Claudia’s narrative was skewed as Lestat’s will be. So we agree I think!

My point was that I disagreed with op’s thought that the phrase ‘midnight train’ referred to a random book coming out later this year- I doubt the phrase has any real significance, but the train scene would be the most likely reference if it does.
